Aisles were a bit cramped, especially when busy, but a very diverse selection is on offer here. Quality and condition of the books themselves did vary greatly, but it is a used book store to be fair. Check the prices on the first inside page, some were pretty exorbitant for arguably heavily used copies of very common books, other are an absolute steal. Walked out with 8 books for about $20. Love these little shops, definitely will be back to poke around more. Also, be aware: cash only purchases.
My favorite place now to shop for books. Good selections and prices. Very friendly sales person female at the front desk. Will be back again and again.
My favorite bookstore! I try to make weekly visits! I only wish it were open everyday! I absolutely adore the lady who runs it
Great bookstore +. Good cause. Very friendly staff. Great prices. Lots to look through.
Very wonderful place to visit. Cheap GREAT books are sold here! I found all the books I was looking for!!! And they also have tons of kids and baby books! Books for all ages! Go give it a shot. You won't regret it.
I had the pleasure of visiting this bookstore recently and I definitely found what I was looking for. They have a very large selection of books, magazines as well as DVDs. The service by the ladies working there is wonderful. This is definitely the place to go if you're looking for books at a reasonable price.
I love this place. I go to several of the Friends of the Library Bookstores around town but I think this one is my favorite due to their larger selection. It is not a "normal" bookstore. Don't expect too much help from the people working. They are volunteers and the there is no catalog or listing of the books they have in stock. The volunteers are always very nice and happy to help point you to the area where you'll be most likely to find what you're looking for but usually it's up to you to actually search for it, but for me that's the fun part :D
We are a used book bookstore, not a library. As an all volunteer 501 c 3 we accept donations of books, audiobooks, magazines, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, and games which we then resell to the public. The money these sales raise, after our overhead, go to help fund materials and programs at the Jose Cisneros Cielo Vista Library. During the pandemic and while awaiting the reopening of our branch library, we are working with the Bookmobile, the Irving Schwartz branch and the Judge Marquez branch libraries, as well as other area non-profits. We look forward to seeing you in the bookstore. Mary Kirschenbaum, Acting Manager
What a cool book shop! The staff are super nice, they helped me bring a bunch of books from my car. I will tell folks about this local gem.
It was awesome. First time visiting the library and it wont be the last. Variety of books and friendly professional staff.
