Delicious spot for breakfast and a comfortable spot for a solo meal. O’Brien potatoes are very good could maybe use some more ham in them, though. On my second visit, the Irish skillet hit the spot but I think I personally prefer the o’briens. Menu prices reflect a cash discount, but that seems pretty standard for the non-chains in Anoka. On a busy Saturday, be prepared for a wait at the door and inside before ordering— on a quiet weekday morning there was no wait and the entire meal took about half the time.
The food was ok. They ran out of certain things & it was only 9am. Overall I was more disappointed in the customer service. The lady sat us down & gave us our drink & the menu & never retured to take our order. When I tried to get someone to come take our order, the servers were hopping all over as if they were super busy so it was hard to get their attention. There was not that many people at the time when I got there but I felt completely ignored. They should definitely pay attention more to their customers!
Delicious food with amazing staff who were very helpful. Picked this place out of random and it was such a great decision! 100% recommend! We got the biscuits and gravy along with the settlers omelet and not pictured the chocolate cake. All were scrumptious!
G's Irish Cafe does not really serve Irish food but does have excellent diner food. The menu includes breakfast and burgers and sandwiches. The food was well cooked and presented. I went for lunch but look forward to going back and trying breakfast.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
Was looking for a local restaurant to support and to enjoy breakfast at for my best friends birthday and I'm glad I chose here. It was the first time for both of us coming here. The entire staff was welcoming and friendly and the food was wonderful. Even though they were packed full we were constantly checked in on and our coffee and waters were always full. I definitely will return.
Great breakfast at good price. Service has always been fantastic. It's a small place but food comes out quick. Wish I could eat here more often.
Love the decor of old Anoka and Irish. Cozy small place, real home cooked food, great portions, friendly staff.
I have lived in Anoka for 28 years oh what I've been missing! Homemade soup! Yummy burgers! A reuben like a reuben should be, lots of meat and sauerkraut. And the whole sandwich is hot, sauerkraut included. Can't stand cold kraut on a hot sandwich. These guys do it right! I had roasted pork vegetable soup too. Yum. Rich broth with body not a thin broth and little pasta/gnocchi like noodles, so much flavor. Too much food to finish but just took some home. I will be back. I saw more menu items I want to try. Like the malted waffle. Doesn't that sound divine. Why didn't someone tell me about them years ago?
The food is great! Quantity is just right. Small Irish restaurant with many options to pick from.
They only serve you by when you were sat at your table. 15 min wait for a table, 20 min for someone to take are order, and 45 mins to get our food. Highly recommend going somewhere else for breakfast!!
