One of the best gardens I have ever visited. Beautiful plants, trees and flowers. The trails are so much fun. You never know what is going to be around the next turn. I am wheelchair bound and was able to navigate them with minimal effort. We took a picnic and ate at a great shady spot.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5
I had a wonderful time at Gardenview Horticultural Park! The park is beautifully maintained and filled with a stunning variety of plants and flowers that smell amazing. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and I learned so much from them. I highly recommend visiting this park if you're looking for a peaceful and educational experience
The gentleman that greeted us was very friendly and informative, it was our first visit so me taking pictures of all the beautiful flowers took a while lol, we were almost late for an appointment so we had to run out before getting to finish. The pond life was beautiful and peaceful. This Garden needs a lot of help and a lot of support from the Strongsville comminuty as a whole!!!! We should support our beautiful home town garden with our visitors. Keep up the good hard work Gradenview, can't wait to enjoy it over and over again! This is strongsvilles hidden gem!
I love the Henry A. Ross story behind this garden and came all the way from Kentucky to see it. I wish the city of Strongsville, Ohio would support it more and help out the dedicated gardener, Mark LaRosa more. Every gardener knows how hard the work is and he needs more volunteers. I hope he can continue to keep it open. There is limited parking if you go...but if you are passing thru Strongsville on the way to Cleveland Botanical Gardens then try and stop by and learn the story behind the Garden view.
Strongsville's "Secret Garden." Went to Gardenview with my Daughter & & her Boyfriend yesterday afternoon. It has been years since my last visit & their first but it's still as beautiful as ever. It was so fun to talk to Mark Larosa who is carrying on with Henry Ross's lifetime of work. Mark made the visit so enjoyable for us, and his knowledge and true love & passion for gardening is incredible. He has done a superb job carrying on as a "one Man show" & especially due to the lack of funding and local support they receive. This place is a true "gem" for the City of Strongsville . Rare and unique plantings from front to back fill the place. A great inspiration for me over the years as I have acquired and nurtured many of the specimens that I wanted to adorn my own yard with. It was capped off by Mark showing us some of the clothing that Henry wore hanging in a greenhouse up to the time he passed. I'll be back and encourage others to visit this charming place.
Visited the park for the first time and was so impressed with the beauty! Amazing to think that it is in such a busy area but, feels like miles away. The grounds are created with love and care with hidden spots for a picnic or a painting spot. Will going back soon to see all the flowers blooming.
One of the moat beautiful places in Ohio. Has an incredible story behind it as well, but even just on its own, the garden is enormous and just strikingly gorgeous. Rivals the Arboretum or the parks in Cleveland, no problem. The statuary, the trees, the blossoms even in the fall, the shifts of tones and perspectives... It's pure magic
This was really lovely. Lots of beautiful things to see. The grounds keeper we spoke with was extremely kind and knowledgeable. It is not handicap accessible at all.
An incredible local fantasy land. The curator there takes excellent care of the park, year round. Gardenview is a great place to take the kids on an adventure, or, just the perfect wonderland to take a moment, and stop, and smell the roses.
This park is a lovely hidden gem in the heart of Strongsville. I went on a drizzly day & it felt like I was deep in the woods somewhere else.
