Gatekeeper's Museum houses the Steinbach Indian Basket Collection and is linked to the Watson Cabin Museum -- all are in Tahoe City, CA, on the northwest corner of Lake Tahoe, next to Fanny Bridge (where Lake Tahoe flows into the Truckee River).
To preserve, present and interpret the history of Lake Tahoe both as a region and in the larger context of the history of the American West.
