We are a running club (we welcome walkers too) with weekly evening runs every Monday at 6pm starting at ShuJack's Bar and Grill in downtown Elma.
Get to Steppin’ Running Club
Mission Statement and Code of Conduct
We, the Get to Steppin’ Running Club, are a group of friends and community members who enjoy being fit and active. We think one important component of fitness is to be supported by other like-minded fitness individuals and have fun! So this running club was born!
Our season starts on March 16th, 2015 and then meets every Monday until the last Monday before Halloween (Oct. 26th). We meet once a week at 6 pm at ShuJack’s Bar and Grill in Elma. We will have 6-7 different routes which we will alternate throughout the year. We end our run at ShuJack’s to enjoy great food and some social time before we embark on our respective work week.
Although we may call ourselves a running club, we welcome individuals of all fitness levels! Run it, walk/run it or just walk…being active and covering the distance accomplishes the goal!
Every run allows participants to earn an official running club shirt. When you complete 6, 13, 23, 33 runs you earn a shirt! To earn a run toward a shirt, participants will sign in at ShuJack’s every Monday at the start of each run. Each week, at the end of the run, every participant that has achieved a new shirt level will come in front of the group to have their name announced and be awarded a shirt! Because we have no operating budget we ask the participants help with costs by paying $10-20 toward each shirt they earn. We encourage all participants to wear their shirts to the run every Monday! Each shirt you earn has a unique color which identifies where you are in the hierarchy of runs earned.
Individuals must be at least 21 years old to participate. Alll participants must sign a waiver/hold harmless agreement and they must sign in each week if they wish to have their runs tracked and earn shirts.
Runners Code of Conduct
1. All participants must sign the waiver/hold harmless agreement.

4. Be respectful and follow the guidelines of ShuJack’s.
