The double decker bus tour was well worth the money for the tickets! We greatly enjoyed getting a detailed tour of the town and battlefield by a professional tour guide. Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable! The bus tour is probably the best way to understand and see all the history of Gettysburg. There was a bathroom stop at the halfway point and there was also another stop where you could get out and take pictures at the Pennsylvania monument, which was amazing to see!
Went on the double decker tour when we visited and it was awesome. The open air upper deck of the double decker bus tour is a must as it give a great new perspective of the battlefield while driving. Headphones were provided. The guides were excellent being well informed and witty. Definitely recommend when visiting. Go early in the am to avoid the summer heat!
Me and my family just went to both the morning and late night tour today, the morning one is not the cup of tea if you want ghosts, but the night is awesome! Our guide was Rachel, so lots of love to her awesome tour, good detail, and good humor! Definitely will come again at some point.
Our guide provided us with a ton of information and insights into the politics of the time nationally and internationally. He spoke about a million words a minute though so that was sometimes a bit much. But a really great guy who takes his tour guide responsibilities seriously. Great way to start learning about Gettysburg. Bus was comfy. You got a bathroom break part way thru. Only 4 stars bc at the end, the guide started talking about current politics and his opinions. But I’d still recommend it.
One of the best bus tours in Gettysburg. The double decker open air bus gives you an awesome view of the town and the battlefield. The tour guides knew their stuff. Absolutely worth it.
If you have someone that needs wheelchair assistance, please DO NOT book with this company. Although the booking department states it is “wheelchair accessible” the tour may not accommodate your request. I booked a licensed battlefield tour in advance for my family of 4, including my son who uses a wheelchair. I called before booking to make sure he could be accommodated. Upon arrival, the staff stated our 11am tour could not accommodate his wheelchair because it was not booked properly - which is NOT my fault. I notified the company beforehand about the wheelchair. I drove my family over 79 miles from Washington, DC to tour Gettysburg. We live 16hrs away in MS, and this is the last day of our vacation. I was promised a refund, but the Tour office could not provide a receipt or anything in writing regarding the cancellation and refund. VERY UNFORTUNATE & UNPROFESSIONAL. Please do not visit!! You can tour Gettysburg for free using Google Maps and driving your own vehicle. Also, I have to wait 1 week for the refund to credit back to my card… how convenient!!
Highly recommend this tour. We took the orphanage tour. Our guide Eric was AMAZING! He is a great story teller. If you have trouble with stairs this might be a hard tour for you. You do go into the basement awesome experience but the stairs and very narrow and could be difficult for some. Also not a lot of walking which was great. They had benches to sit on while the stories were told. We have been on lots of ghost tours and this BY FAR WAS THE BEST TOUR. I HAD EVER TAKEN. Thanks
Absolutely worth every penny and then some! Tour given by Christine and bus driven by Amy. For 2 hours my 80-year old Mom and I were captivated by the knowledge, stories, statistics and details of the 3 day battle at Gettysburg. It was a frigid windy day and the guide was so thoughtful to do the tour entirely from the bus, giving us opportunities to get off and take photos at key locations. Everything about this was amazing and I highly recommend it regardless of your experiences or lack of at Gettysburg. A++ tour!
Such a good tour especially when it’s sweltering outside. Highly recommended!
Highly recommend this experience! Our guide was Jim Miller and he is full of passion and knowledge! He truly brought that battles to life on our tour. The bus was comfortable, there was a bathroom break around the 1 hour mark as well. We exited the bus in two locations during the tour for some in depth recounts of the battles! He engrossed all of the passengers and was able to answer everyone’s questions.
