Absolutely worth every penny and then some! Tour given by Christine and bus driven by Amy. For 2 hours my 80-year old Mom and I were captivated by the knowledge, stories, statistics and details of the 3 day battle at Gettysburg. It was a frigid windy day and the guide was so thoughtful to do the tour entirely from the bus, giving us opportunities to get off and take photos at key locations. Everything about this was amazing and I highly recommend it regardless of your experiences or lack of at Gettysburg. A++ tour!
Came with my brother, first time here. Fantastic tour. Our tour guide Eric was super informative and I can tell he loves what he does. So much history to pack into two hours. Traveled about 5 hours for a concert in Hershey and made the trip down here since it was so close and it was completely worth it. I will definitely be back at some point!
The Busses are clean and Air-conditioning works good they made several stops to get out and see the monuments the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable tour was about 2 hours.
It was great, the guide was very knowledgeable and shared so much history of the Gettysburg Battlefield. I highly recommend it to everyone.
My wife and I really enjoyed the bus tour and we highly recommend riding on top of the double decker bus. Our tour guide was Jess and she was very informative and knowledgeable. Definitely a great way to start your Gettysburg trip.
This should be your first tour! It is the best way to get your bearings, because it’s a big area and there is a lot of info to take in. Their guides are both informative and entertaining and also very happy to answer any of your questions! I highly recommend the top deck !
Any new place is always worth a formal tour. This was one of the best. Comfortable bus and all that stuff, but the TOUR GUIDE! Wow. She was phenomenal. I went with a Civil War buff, and this guide really knew her stuff. Only downside side was, the tour was too short. Really wish we had more time to hear her speak on how the 3 days unfolded. Would definitely repeat this tour.
An excellent way to begin your journey through Gettysburg. A wonderful 2 hour tour of the battlefield giving you historical and present day information. I felt like it gave me a better jumping off point when exploring the battlefield in greater depth. I knew what I wanted to see more of and what I could skip over.
First, our bus driver and tour guide were at odds with each other. Clearly some bad blood between them as they bickered throughout the tour. At the restroom stop, we ended up leaving two people behind, which was shrugged off by the driver. The tour guide was knowledgeable, but not an effective story teller. His delivery was a disorganized brain dump at 100 mph. At one of the stops, we stumbled across another tour and spent 15 minutes listening to that guide, who was excellent. So there are good tour guides available, we just got the short end of the stick that day. Afterwards, my partner and I went to the Gettysburg visitor center to make up for the huge gaps in our tour and salvaged our day. For almost $80, we felt robbed. Complete waste of a morning and money.
