We saw a sign from the road for this place and decided to check it out. The entrance is really cool and looks like a door too a mine. The hall is really cool and looks like a mine shaft. This is definitely not a fancy establishment. So if that's what your expectations are it's not the place for you. The prices are amazing. You won't find cheaper drinks anywhere else in town. We ordered a beer and mixed drink and it was around $8. We also stumbled upon some locals that are known to frequent this establishment. I will leave it at that. If you give it a visit you will understand.Wonderful experience really cool place. The bar tender had dreads almost down to his feet. Very attentive & nice fellow to converse with. Definitely recommend stopping in for a drink. Next time we are in Gettysburg we will be stopping back in. Very diverse crowd never know who you might meet in here.
Really cool bar. Great service and nice selection. There is no food so I can't review that aspect. Check it out! Parking: Two separate parking areas. No issue at all. Wheelchair accessibility: One of the two entries is a long hallway. No stairs.
Very cool place to visit. It was a little dark insideService: 3/5
Perfect dive bar. Absolutely can't beat the prices. Where else can you get 2 fireball shots and 2 higher priced beers for $17! If you go in expecting anything else, you won't enjoy it. We planned to stop quickly before going on a ghost tour, but ended up going back after because we enjoyed it so much. The crowd is also very mixed, so it's good for meeting some interesting people.
Poor service but a unique bar. More hype than it is.Food: 4/5
Entrance was the best part of the bar!! We had poor service on Saturday 7-8-23. Othere just walked out.Food: 3/5
Cool spot BUT the waitress was on team mystic on pokemon go at work. So we had to take her gym.Food: 5/5
This is a little hole in the wall, clearly frequented by locals. We have been here a few late nights during the Winter months. Drinks are simple and reasonably priced. The owner is kind and clearly used to slinging drinks for those there to party with friends. A warm fire place encourages hanging out and drinking with fellow patrons. The entrance is barely noticeable as you walk down the sidewalk. You have to know, to know and pay attention to the small signs near the street. Enjoy this hidden local gem!
Unexpected Gem! What a rare selection of whiskeys. Craft beers too. Great prices also. The owner must be a character. We watch the show Billions and they drink Michter’s 10 year. It’s incredibly hard to find. Imagine our excitement when we discovered this place had Michter’s 20 year…it was fantastic! Been in Gettysburg 5 months and can’t believe we just found you. Thank you!
The bar is as authentic as it gets. Don't get me wrong, this bar is definitely not for everyone. During the inter months there is a wood burning fire .place crackling in the background of your conversation and the smoke permeates the bar and sets the tone for this unique spot. There beer is cold and there is a wide variety of craft beers to choose. The bartender is happy to strike up a conversation and offer suggestions for other local spots. I will definitely be back again.
