The food here was just truly amazing. Service was great and everyone was so friendly! The large fry is a bucket size that feeds around 6 people, so it was shared. The cheesesteak could be customized, so I did sweet peppers, onions, mushrooms, and mayo. This was the best cheesesteak I’ve ever ate in my life, no kidding. Drinks were cold, the cheesesteak and fries were hot and were brought out to our table. It was just a great experience. I would drive the 7 hours again just for this sandwich, fries and the friendly service. If you’re in Gettysburg you have to stop here, you won’t regret it!
Best cheesesteak in Gettysburg. This place has great "beach or boardwalk" foods, from the fresh-cut boardwalk fries to the fresh squeezed orangeade and lemonade. They also have Turkey Hill ice cream and old fashioned soda in glass bottles available. Stop by to look at the walls of fame. Many celebrities have eaten at Hunt's.
My husband & I drove into Gettysburg to visit. When looking for somewhere to eat lunch, we came across this cafe. As you walk in, you have to go to the back to order. I got a cheesesteak with cheese & bacon fries. My husband got a double cheeseburger with cheese & bacon fries. We both got a fountain drink. I would say it is overpriced considering our 2 meals were almost $50. The food was really good & the fries were a larger portion! The memorabilia was neat, but the establishment in general could have been cleaner. Both the cashier & cook were friendly! Although overpriced, it was a good experience!
The food was fantastic, we got a regular and a cheesy fry with an orange aid and it was so good. Definitely a perfect treat !! and the service was so helpful too, the outdoor and indoor seating was great and had a cool aesthetic to it. Would absolutely recommend!
We decided to split a small fries they are not really small, and are a great value -- the medium is the size of a football, the large is a gallon on a whim and were very glad we did. The two people helping us were very nice and we were able to watch the lady use the potato press to cut the fries fresh. They are accompanied by ketchup and/or vinegar and on their tables they have spray bottles of two types of vinegar -- honestly, now that I know that's an option in this universe I can't understand why ANY fry place that provides vinegar WOULDN'T have spray bottles. Genius! The fries were piping hot, salted, and the perfect combination of crunchy on the outside while still being moist on the inside. All fry aficionados need to try this place!
Very unique place. We stopped in to get some battleground fries for a snack while shopping. Boy were they delicious! I could go for some right now!! We did have lemonade and it was ok.Food: 5/5
The best cheesesteak I’ve had. Incredible fries, we could have eaten fries for days! Small shop but definitely a need to go. Incredibly nice staff and the owner is friendly!Recommended dishesFresh Cut Fries, Cheesesteaks
Small inside but huge on flavor! I had the cheesesteak and French fries. Absolutely delicious!Food: 5/5
Stopped here with my family after spending our day at Gettysburg. Food was fantastic we got Phillies and Fresh cut fries. Staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was fun. We would for sure come back if we are ever in town again
Came here craving a good burger and saw the reviewers saying it was the best they'd ever had. All I can say is, those people need to find someone who knows how to make a burger. Too much bun for the amount of meat, and the meat was gray and sad with no crust of any sort; more steamed than fried. French fries were good; freshly cut fries always are. But the whole thing was definitely not worth $16
