Enjoyed looking around all the grounds
I remember the lighted map and every museum, our parents took us to and we had a marvelous time, full of such interesting history of our nation. Sitting on the boulders at Devil's Den and imagining what it was like. In remembrance of all the lives lost to fight for freedom. Thank you!
Film gives needed perspective on the battle. Must see either before or after your battlefield tour. Reasonably priced. Nice gift shop. Buffet also looked good.
We went there for the theater. First the giant board had a map and a few little lights to show troop movements. 1950's technology. Very poor exhibit. Secondly a movie screen came down and a 1970's vintage overhead tv projector. The film what i considered barely visible. It was dim and a nauseating green tinting to the movie. I wanted to just leave. I almost wanted to ask for a refund but didn't want to be rude. The whole experience was in my opinion quite pathetic and i just couldn't get over the fact i had to pay admission. I'm not a complainer at all but it had to be done. Me and my best friend thought it was so bad we were actually laughing about it. In the vernacular it really sucks bug time!!
Vintage history leasons of the battle. Neat to see how it was explained years ago with the old board and film projector. Well worth the money and time. The model displays of the battlefields were correct and had a ton of details that had to be time consuming to create.
Really learned so much. My boys, age 11, where captivated by the entire town.
General Pickets Buffet downstairs in the best meal in town.
