Took an afternoon walk to see this place after all day on the battlefield, however they were already closed. Came back to check the time for tomorrow and found they only open on Saturdays bummer. Quirky, curiosities and oddities are my cup of tea. Update: it was actually a good review considering I haven't been to the museum. I gave it a one due to it being open for one day a week. Surely I'll never see the place now due to your crappy attitude.
It's set up like an old timey dime museum. Mix of real artifacts and replicas. Would be better if it was bigger. However, the owners/staff were lovely people. Very friendly and took the time to help calm my on-edge six-year-old son.
This place is a hidden gem! We had a seriously good time! The owner took some time to explain the history of the dime museums. 2 adults and a child for under 20 bucks! Check this place out!
A throwback to a bygone era! There are dioramas featuring real historical figures, art from unlikely artists, and goofy carnival gaffes all mixed in a beautifully maintained space. Well worth a visit.
Took the time to stop in here on a recent pass through Gettysburg and I'm glad I did! It was a welcome respite from the battle stories and history that the rest of the town is immersed in. The exhibits are all a bit sketchy, but that really is part of the appeal of a dime museum. Quite a lot is packed into the museum, despite it being on the small side. Expect to spend 45 minutes to an hour going through if you take your time and look at everything.
The owners were super friendly and willing to answer any questions. It was a lot of fun. It's too bad they are closing after this season.
Go while you have the chance, if not, you'll regret it like I nearly did. A wonderful collection of some real and some flim flam that would make Barnum proud.
Its ok, worth the $7 dollars to get in, its more funny then anything. You will only need about 60-90 minites to see and read everything.
Fun but a bit pricey for 10 dollars to see the attractions. Some looked fake but fun to stop in.
My wife and I loved it! So fun and interesting.
