GJB Health Services provides quality therapy for adults, teens and couples. Gloria Bannasch is Gottman Certified to work with couples of all types and ages. Gloria also works with clients who struggle with addiction and is trained to conduct formal interventions. Tania Hanford specializes in working with individuals and couples who have sexual challenges. Tania also supports the LBGTQ community with a wide range of services. Kathleen Mueske works with adults, older children, teens and couples. Kathleen has experience dealing with many types of problems for which our clients seek help. Tricia Gonzalez, our newest therapist, works with teens and adults who struggle with depression or anxiety. Dr. Gerald Bannasch, our team psychiatrist, neurologist and neuropsychiatrist, provides medication management and ongoing treatment for children, teens and adults. We can also provide neuropsychological and psychological testing and expert testimony. We are your one-stop-shop for all your mental health needs. Their absolutely rude receptionist was uncalled for. She stated that if I couldn't provide my covid vaccination card within two days of my appointment I would have to find another Psychiatrist. I politely told her I would figure how to send it via text. I texted it to GJB & promptly received another call from the same rude receptionist that they would not see me & my appointment was canceled. I'm trying to deal with the passing of my husband & certainly didn't need this. Upon viewing the reviews I am happy not to see a mental health provider that has rude & nasty receptionists working for them. Tells me that their mental health practice isn't what it is meant to be. They need to be reported to the AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION
The first time I called this place they person that I spoke with was really nice. I did all the online paperwork and had referrals sent over. They tried calling my ex and not me, my name was on all of the paperwork. They got a voice mail full and did not try calling again. This was all in November, they told me it would take a little while so after the holidays I called them. A very rude person there told me that the referrals were expired and that I need new ones. I had new ones sent to them. Two weeks later I called them and got chewed out because there is a procedure they follow and that I needed to wait my turn. No sympathy that my sons needed to see a new psychiatrist because theirs left and the clinic did not have a new one to replace the one that left. Mental health is very important especially for adolescents. Needless to say, I won't be using there service. Such terrible customer service.
Total joke! Told me it would be best to let my mom die! Bill was paid FIVE years ago! All of the sudden I'm getting a bill again with threat of collections! Of course there's no record of my payment! Stay away!
Dr B is an amazing doctor who really does listen! Everyone in the office I've spoken to has been so nice as well, and always super helpful. After reading through some of these comments I am actually shocked to see a lot of them. I have never had an issue with my meds, I have never thought he doesnt listen to my input, and I always look forward to our phone chats. Also, paying your bill, needing a med refill, or sending him a question are all super easy to do on their app. If anyone is 2nd guessing going to him, I would definitely call and talk to the staff and him yourself. I have been seeing him for 5 months now and honestly have only good things to say about him and his office.
Dr. Bannasch has been the worst doctor I've had for mental health. He is rude and condescending. There have been incidents of me showing up to an appointment, waiting for 30+ minutes, and then being told he left the building for some unspecified reason and that my appointment was now canceled. He has also refused to fill prescriptions for arbitrary reasons making it difficult to stick to a medication routine. Subjectively, I feel he cares very little for his patients health and wellbeing and only cares about his income. If you have any alternative choice, go somewhere else.
Worst Dr. Ive ever been to. Does not fill you in completely on your Test results that he requests. Changed my medication 3 times in a month all antiphyscotic meds for paint fumé inhalation. All he wanted to know is how i sleep and do i catch light flashes out thé corner of my eye. Consulting with a lawyer to find out what he actually is trying to accomplish.
Dr Bannasch at GJB should not be practicing. He gave me a 15 minute follow up after a ton of testing. He didn't give me an aftercare guide. He didn't even give me the full diagnosis. I knew something was terribly wrong as my condition was worsening. He just gave me "mood stabilizers" and said "no caffeine". I again asked for help as what he prescribed was not working. The treatment was not working. I had to go off the meds because my behavior was becoming more erratic. I was finally able to get a diagnosis sheet from his nurse. To my horror, he didn't even tell me everything he diagnosed. He only gave me treatment for 1 of the 3 major things he diagnosed. I called back and begged and pleaded for different meds and to see him. Instead, he shamed me and told me I "didn't do the work". He said it was my fault that the treatment wasn't working. I was literally crying asking for anything. Finally, he said he would arrange to have someone call me back. No one ever did. I attempted suicide 4 days later. Words can't describe how disappointed I am in him and his practice. If I could give him zero stars I would. Please do not see this man as it almost cost me my life. There is better help out there.
My experience with Dr. Bannasch, the counselors, the office and the medical team has been an incredible part and influence in my life. I've been, and continue to be, thankful to all of their time, attention and desire to always be there when our "problems" need to be addressed, to always be a genuine and professional source to go to. They, Dr. Bannasch and Jillian LPC specifically, brought me out of rock bottom and I will forever be grateful
Let me start by saying I never got to see Dr. B and I was seeing him for depression and anxiety medication fixes. I will tell you my experience and you can make judgements from that. In February 2021, COVID precautions still existed and GJB was only doing online appointments. Reading reviews of the office and signing the paperwork, I was aware that they have a $300 late fee for late/no-shows during appointments. Days before my appointment I was told I would be emailed instructions for the online appointment. I received information for setting up an account on a website where I could view my electronic health record, view on coming appointments, and supposedly join the online video appointment. I had this account set up and learned how to navigate it before the day of the appointment and felt confident I knew what I was doing. Morning of the appointment, I woke up and joined the appointment 10 min before the start of the appointment and waited for Dr. B to jump on. About 2-3 minutes after the appointment, I called the office because Dr. B was not on yet. I was on hold for 10 minutes and during that time I checked my email and found completely different instructions for joining a video call. I followed those instructions and Dr. B was also not on this call. A person, who I assume is a front desk person, finally answered the phone and I explained the situation. She told me, in a very condescending tone, that regardless of the confusing instructions, being kept on hold for over 10 minutes, and it being my first appointment that they would have to reschedule because I was now 15 minutes late and I would have to pay $300 before scheduling because of the policy. She then said, "The ball is in your court, you can see someone else or pay," completely floored by how rude she was when I had not been rude at all, I just said, "I will have to get back to you," and hung up. Ever since that day, I have received 4 letters demanding payment for a no-show that never happened, even though I have sent letters and called stating I was never late and would not be paying it. I'm sure Dr. B is brilliant but I would urge them to reconsider how they treat their patients.
They've had computer system issues for over a year. I got an EOB today for an appointment from 11 months ago. I hope it's finally the last bill. It is difficult to contact the office for help with billing and they have signs up that don't allow you to meet in person. Jessica has always been very helpful, she is professional and kind.
