Charming, delicious and a nice variety of items to choose from. I'm not typically a scone fan, but the mango scone was delightful! Bourbon pecan pie was perfection, as was the raspberry/lemon loaf and sourdough.
Amazing!! Best cinnamon roll I've ever had!!! The loaf of garlic rosemary bread was also divine. The coffee is great, but definitely let her know once you come in the door that you want one because they make it by the cup. The wait is very long and items go fast so get there a half hour early!! There is only one spot to sit and eat, but I didn't mind eating in my car with the windows rolled down enjoying the scenery. It was picturesque!
I've lived in Laramie since October but I'm just finding out about this place! My daughter and I went yesterday for some muffins and oh my goodness!!! BEST MUFFINS I'VE EVER HAD!! I'll never buy them from a store again lol I'll definitely be back! And I'll be sending some friends & family your way as well!
Wonderful to meet Jennifer. No one should be buying baked goods from Safeway or Walmart. She’s amazing and definitely knows her stuff.
The best bakery for hundreds of miles in any direction and you can almost see that far from their location too!
Best sour dough breads and other breads. Bear claes were not true claw but were super
This is my second entry on my quest to have pie in all 50 states, but to be fair I am about 20 states in so far and just started documenting. My dog and I visited Golden Prairie Bakery about a year ago. We originally packed up the car from Denver and drove to Wyoming on a whim in order to car camp. I made no effort to check the weather or double check my camp gear of which I had forgotten a sleeping pad amongst other necessities. By the time we reached our campsite in northern Laramie it was raining, cold, and both of us had lost interest in camping. As we prepared for our long drive back into Colorado we saw signs for Golden Prairie Bakery and decided to pull over. Unfortunately, they were closed but I could see that they were preparing pies for the week inside. With encouragement from the dog I braved the light drizzle and went to the front door where I plead for a slice of pie despite the obvious store closure. The Bakery was more than accommodating allowing me to buy one of the best pecan pies I've ever had they add bourbon into the filling. My dog Strupi and I were able to brave the elements back to CO with our stomachs filled thanks to Golden Prairie Bakery...which represents the entire state of WY on our pie-quest.
The pineapple rum pastry was the best thing I've ever eaten. It was amazing. Well worth the drive and is it bad I want to plan a return trip around her hours? After we left we both looked at each other and bemoaned not getting the tirimisu.
Laramie's best kept secret. If you haven't been, you need to go! Truly delightful pastries and such a dedicated, kind, and highly skilled baker. Make this a tradition and you won't be disappointed!
We came here for pastries this morning and were so thrilled with our experience. The cake was amazing as were the scones and bear claws. The owner is an absolute delight. Hope you enjoy this bakery as well
