The thought of the extensive rant I could go on about this place is exhausting so I'll keep this brief. DO NOT STAY HERE! KEEP YOUR MONEY! Read any other 1 star or 2 star review on this list and I second everything they said. You should be allowed to leave no stars. The balls of this place charging what they charge while you live in a full-time construction zone. Pool under construction, water meters being installed without notice, piles of dirt everywhere in an already very tight-maneuvering park. The only correct response to this review is my refund but I know how that'll work out.
We came to this park thinking it would be cheaper but in the end it’s not. We stayed for a week intending to stay month to month but ending up leaving and the electricity was already $100 that’s about how much we would pay at another trailer park that’s clean and way more nice for a whole month. They also charge/meter for water at this park which they didn’t mention on the phone. The spots are too small for how much they charge. I couldn’t get into the bathrooms it was very hard to use. Wouldn’t recommend this park. I do say it was very quiet and our neighbors were nice.
We recently moved to Arizona from Florida and my husband, and I have really enjoyed being at Mesa Sunset RV. The management is very friendly and always helpful with any questions I may have. I would highly recommend this park for your long-term adventure. Everything is being updated, clubhouse, laundry, outside games and pool. It has been fun.
The positive: It's one of very few all ages RV resorts in the valley. A few of the staff were genuinely friendly made you feel welcome. At the beginning of our long-term stay, there was a maintenance worker who would go above and beyond to make residents feel welcome, even their dogs. Sites were cleaned/groomed daily, and the dog run areas were up kept. They even did a great job at parking the RVs as they came in. Then one day, they were gone. The negative: Scheduling seemed to be a nightmare. Tenants were moved three and four times to different sites... Sometimes for no reason at all. The renovation or rather lack thereof of the clubhouse left unsightly chain-link fencing strewn around everything that COULD be appealing to the eye. It also cut most of the amenities offered in half. To bed as kid friendly as they claimed, there is only the wonky pool for entertainment more on that in a bit. The park model additions or lack thereof left many sites vacant for months which could have otherwise been utilized. There are no water shut off valves to isolate portions of the park. So, if someone backs over a water spigot, or of there's any other maintenance like a park model being hooked up, be prepared to be without water and oftentimes without prior notice. Speaking about water, the laundry facility was without hot water for at least a month, showing a pure lack of urgency to get that remedied. I don't know how deep the clubhouse renovations are going, but they sure have a LONG way to go. Also, despite signs posted of video surveillance, there IS NO video surveillance except a single trail camera on the back gate looking at the dog area. I've noticed individual tenants had their own camera systems set up. Sad that they even had to do that. On a few occasions I personally had to call police and even take matters into my own hands to run off vagrants who wandered in to either camp out in the shower house, or slink around the campground looking for unlocked car doors or bikes to steal. I didn't feel safe here. Upon signing the long term rental agreement, I noticed there were a LOT of rules. However, it seems like many of the semi-permanent and even family of the management broke these rules. Rules like "no window AC units," or "no foil window coverings." Even this one, "RVs must kept in good order and consistent with other RVs in the park." I couldn't count how many ripped up awnings with supports hanging off the sides, window AC units, foiled windows, and downright dilapidated RVs in this park. Our neighbors had been there for 6 years and their camper looked like a wreck. After the first maintenance person was gone, their replacements were very lackluster. Sites weren't groomed/cleaned when RVs pulled out, the pool started growing black algae and always had leaves and bugs floating in it.
HORRIBLE PLACE TO DEAL WITH!!!!They gave us a spot, told us to set up electric asap, so we did.. only to find out 2 days before that the location THEY GAVE US WAS NOT AVAILABLE, and they didn't have the decency to call us, SRP let us know.. then they want to cram us on a space we won't fit... And to top it off, they screwed up and refuse to refund even partial deposit!! They take your money even when spots aren't available!!!! DO NOT BOOK HERE FOR THIS REASON!! Reply back to your reply ....... you did not upgrade our spot!!.. You originally gave us spot 92 which was large and accommodating but people weren't moving, then you gave us 58 which we will not fit on.. There was no upgrade nor offer to upgrade Because the park was fully booked as per management.. you cost us money... Don't lie
I wish I could put 0 stars, this place is terrible and if you speak up, THEY WILL SINGLE YOU OUT AND MAKE YOUR LIFE MISERABLE. You've been warned! You will be lied to and the prices will change often!! Super sneaky and please find a place that actually cares about you! Construction on the pool for a year, construction on the water meters, piles of dirt everywhere- I've gotten 2 flat tires from the nails left around everywhere! NO COMMUNICATION about when or what day things will be worked on, also they got new gates but random cars come in through the e it or just wait for another car to come in the front. NOT SAFE!! Drug use in the back gate and people jump over the fence all the time! Complaints won't be heard unless you are friends with the manager Angel. Please don't stay here. 0 stars. Oh and I got suspended from the Facebook Residential Grpup for speaking up.... is this the government or something? Why am I being silenced?!? I wonder if they will keep this review up
This park was awesome! Highly recommend for anybody looking to stay in the Phoenix Metro area. Keep in mind we stayed for multiple months as a family August - December -- Born and raised in Chandler, came back with family to visit for a few months. Inside Park Pros - extremely clean can't speak for shower by pool as never used, but when viewed looked clean and I'd use them if needed - pool, hot tub, shuffle board court, pickle ball court, and little kid basketball area were accessible the entire time we were there. Pool/ hot tub were being maintenance and drained during normal AZ pool weather. post thanksgiving - kids riding bikes, golf carts being driven between sites and around general area - DSL up to 10mb all hours through CenturyLink you were able to get at any site. better than most DSL connections, was able to work remote via VoIP and kids still able to tablet stream - food trucks weekly, amongst other park events - phenomenal customer service by Angelique and her team - park was being renovated but was made aware before reservation and they were only renovating the main/ center building - friendly neighbors on both sides - 2 dog runs in back of park, both gravel but well maintained Location of Park Pros - located extremely close to 202 freeway/ US 60 - across from a major grocery store - next door to bowling alley decently priced, but week nights are busy w/ league bowl - located within 5 minutes of big local park and within 20 minutes of 20 different parks with all things imaginable during summer, multiple local pools w/ slides and lazy rivers
This place is a joke. The manager of the park is lazy and has no people skulls at all. The pool hasn't been open in 7 months during the hottest part of the year. There is no communication between the park and residents. Save your money and go somewhere that isn't looking just to fill spots!
Very rude management and difficult to deal with. Rules only apply to certain people. My water is off a lot with no notice and I'm told to deal with it. You can't ask questions or you're an enemy of management very quickly. Don't bother asking the other worker for help because it's her daughter. Not a fun place to stay at even with upgrades. Run.
One of the worst ran RV parks in the valley. Nonstop water shutoffs without warning. Many residents upset and tired of it. Manager has a God complex and is extremely rude. watch out for Angel. There is drug dealing in the back being passed thru the wall. complaints go unnoticed amd unanswered. Many residents csn break rules if theyre friends with Angel. Very old and broke down RVs and strapped on AC units. Dirt piles blocking parking and Rocks being flown toward RVs while work is done. When we asked corporate for help about the water shut offs. she said I should have known there would be no water and its our fault for not being prepared. just unbelievable treatment towards guests. Avoid at all cost. we found a much better place.
