Within living memory Grand Rapids was known as the "Furniture Capital of the World". Why? It's not because we made the most furniture in the world, but because Grand Rapids talent made the BEST furniture in the world. That same talent still fuels Grand Rapids and can clearly be seen in the creative efforts of local entrepreneurs, fine artists, craftspeople and anyone else interested in exemplifying the best of our GR culture. GRM Studios simply endeavors to provide a permanent venue of mutual support and exposure for this world class talent; a place from which we can say "This is Grand Rapids Made".
Our mission is to connect creative entrepreneurs, artists,and crafts people with the community in a professional setting to encourage growth, exposure,and shared ideas. We believe in the acceleration of a creative community through working in collaboration, sharing resources, ideas, opportunities, and mutual promotion.
