Today I was trying to catch the 87 southbound and the app said there was a stop at 3rd and canal but there was only a stick no sign. I called dispatch and she had me go from 2nd to 4th and no sign she told me to wait where the stick was and she would radio driver. Her name was miss Gregory. I waited and when the bus came I was in the street flagging it down the driver who is opposite skin color of me shrugged and grinned and merged and turned without stopping. It was in miss Gregory's control to make sure I was in the right spot and either the driver was racist or miss Gregory lied and does not know how to do her job. This is the 4th time in 2months I've been at a grtc assigned stop and a driver of the opposite color has blown past me. If you call dispatch verify who your dispatcher is. If it's miss Gregory ask for someone else if you want to make it home
Some of the are nice curious and some are rude. Drive past the stop your standing the dark. Just let me say.if you have to be some where a certain time you better get to the bus stop 2 to 3 hours early. Your time isn't important. Be late as far as there concerned. The transfer plaza is a joke it's better to walk your 3 blocks then be late or catch a damn uber
I've been out here for 1hr. The routing schedule states every 30min. This is bad advertisement. This is also considered propaganda. To people whom rely on public transportation. How do we fix this?
On everything I love if I have to pay in order for the bus to come at the time that’s posted for its arrival then I rather do that. I appreciate it being free during this pandemic and in time of need and help but what’s the point of it when the bad is running neck and neck with the good. I would go through the list of buses that’s never on time but there’s no sense in it you already know which ones it is.
My Job! Love this place. Awesome Coworkers. I moved from NY, and they are so helpful. Ty Guyz
In one instance a man riding the 14 bus late 7-29 nite, opened the door two seconds and then pulled off on me in front the brook and azalea 7/11and when I met him at another bus stop he was arguing with me a little and when I was laying down In my seat he felt the need to stop by the CVS to let me know I can't rest on the bus.. THEN a hour later, having to jump on two buses, a older men told me meet the 2bb near kfc near the SS plaza and told the lady near me that the bus he mentioned didn't come at all.. l
I was trying for many days to talk with the human resources office at GRTC but the operator never transfer my call I was so frustrated, because I really needed to talk to this office but after I tried for so long I got crying because of no response to my necessity oh my God please help me.
Not all but many of your drivers have nasty unhelpful attitudes, they sit to much and causes you to miss your connected bus, just because they gotta wait . Pathetic. Homeless folks hanging around the bus stops and sleeping on the benches as if we don't want to sit. Eye sore
I can't speak for anyone in the greater Richmond Metro area as I've only taken the bus into the inner city once and my three or four months using this public transit system. However I can say that for the section of route that I do take normally that it is hardly reliable I have seen on multiple occasions where buses have been behind schedule and there was even once where the mobile app stated that there was a bus on route but there was no bus on the route. Once I started outside at the bus stop for an hour and a half waiting for a bus only for no bus to show up. And, just recently not even 10 minutes before writing this review a bus simply drove past me standing at the bus stop.
I have been almost hit by one of these d*mn buses on 3 seperate occasions now. Once on foot in a crosswalk when I had a walk sign, and twice in my truck when the deiver decided that running a redlight was more important than the safety of everyone surrounding them. I would rather walk on hot coals than ride one of these death traps. This has to be without a doubt the most unsafe bus operating company thay exists.
