Very enjoyable greek restaurant. I ordered the spanakopita, it came with a small salad and it was delicious! My husband had a gyro and he said he liked it! As soon as I put on my coat the check was promptly given to us! It was very reasonable prices! Thank you for a nice evening!
I often get takeout/Doordash delivery from Greek Village. Their food is delicious and portions are generous, usually enough for two meals. It's had been a while since I have eaten in the restaurant itself, but my past experiences were very good, pleasant and friendly service, relaxed atmosphere.
My current go to Greek restaurant in Carmel. Gyros and tzatziki which are almost all I ever get here are traditional and as expected. Staff is friendly and attentive. I probably should order something else to see how their other food is. Only three stars because while the gyros are generally as expected – and that's good – they aren't anything special. Portion size is great, but the pita seems commercially bought instead of freshly made. And that's the difference between a three star and four or five star place.
I have mixed reviews on this restaurant. The one store was strictly based on my Gyro that I ordered last night aside from that I think the place is great. I have never had a Gyro as bad as what I had last night. My husband and I were extremely disappointed. We got the lamb gyros and for the first time ever I got big huge chunks of lamb throughout the Gyro sandwich itself they were like the size of what a piece of stew meat would look like before it shrunk from freezing it for a nice long time. It started out good with nice slices of lamb with everything else it’s supposed to be in a Gyro then these big huge chunks of dry tough grizzly lamb were what I bit into it was like half really good meat and half of these big chunks they were so dry tough and grizzly that neither my husband and I could eat them we had to take them out of the Gyro which left us with a few nice slices. I have never had a Gyro like that before anywhere so I don’t understand maybe they ran out on the regular slices and put these in in their place. Aside from that I do like the restaurant I just want to make sure that nobody else experienced what we had to last night. We ordered gyros from there before this never happened. If I get them there again I would ask to make sure they weren’t made that way. That experience will not stop me from going in there.
Has quickly become the go to place for when we do not cook at home. The gyro meat is dangerously delicious. Lamb stick and chicken stick are also yummy. Sauces are all tasty but especially the eggplant spread. Consistently good food at reasonable prices being served from a family restaurant with sincere service. What else needs to be said?
This place used to look like a bit of a dive but food was still great. A few years back, they did a simple renovation that made it inviting enough for a casual meal inside instead of takeout. The food is very very fresh: love the souvlaki and gyros. You can tell this place cares about their food and service. Excellent quality control. Been a fan for many, many years.
My Husband and I were visiting the Lake Carmel area over the holiday weekend and decided to try Greek Village based on their menu, we love Greek food and diners. Well, we were in for a big surprise because they have Gluten Free Rolls and a DEDICATED Fryer for their fries! I am Gluten Free out of medical necessity and always have to skip the fries because they are contaminated by breaded items fried in the same oil, NOT at Greek Village, they have a dedicated fryer for their GF items! I had a Lamb burger on a GF roll with Sweet Potato fries! I was in heaven. My husband who is not GF also had a great Gyro with regular fries. I can't wait to go back when I'm in the area in a few weeks. If you are GF, go there, they understand GF! Yaay!
I love this little hole in the wall dinner. The best French toast & western omelette I've ever had in the area. The staff is great and friendly.
Can't tell you how there food was because when I got there at 8:35 they told me they were closing in 15 minutes and could only do take out. I checked Google before I left and they said they were open til 9 ....sign on the front door say they are open til 9. If they don't want to serve people after 8:30 they should say that on the business hours. Guess they don't need the business.
Some of the best food in town. Experienced staff who have been serving local food for decades when you sit inside. Never seen an establishment so safe and religiously clean even more so after covid. Good people great food fair prices and fast to fill your order. If you had a problem here there is a strong likelihood you were the foul factor in the equation not them.
