I was lucky to find this place by accident as its not in the main streets and I can't believe their rating is not pure 5. I had three course meal ordered separately, actually and all of them were top notch: nice presentation, fresh ingredients and amazingly tasty. Staff were nice and atmosphere with good vibes. What else you can ask for! Thank you for having me in your lovely Greek restaurant, Nostos!
The attractive seating outdoors in full sun drew us closer, unexpectedly surprising us with our favorite food. Greek!. A celebratory Greek meal seeing my brother for the first time in two years! The Moussaka was absolute perfection in it's presentation and authentic taste! A substantial portion while being light, leaving room for stuffed vine leaves and salad. Beautifuly special stuffed vine leaves here and a Greek salad I wasn't expecting but appreciated in it's quality of taste. My brother enjoyed the soup of the day. A selection of Greek beers and wines to compliment any meal. We'll be back!
The restaurant owner is very friendly, the dining environment is very good, I like quiet places. The food was good, too, with octopus refreshingly served in an orange sauce and taro eggplant with minced pork. I'll go again if I have the chance!
Food looks and presented in an excellent manner. The service from the young lady was also good. The problem was that when you actually tasted the food it was ok but not to the level of what was presented. Worth another visit even if it is to take further photos of the food
Really, really good experience. Food was very well considered and balanced, with excellent presentation. One of the best meals I've had in Brighton and Hove for a very long time and looking forward to coming again.
What a lovely coffee shop. This venue has a very calm and comfortable atmosphere, the type of place where you can go to work or stop off for a bite to eat at lunchtime. It is clean, comfortable and the coffee art is fab. These guys really take pride in their work - I will definitely pop back to try more of the scrummy looking pastries.
Great food, let down by iffy service. Really tasty, well cooked scallops and crispy squid and a very interesting squid ink potato with battered pollock. My friend had some lovely souvlaki. However, my drink was forgotten and we waited 20 minutes for the bill which had also been forgotten and were unable to get anyone's attention and it wasn't really that busy. The two tables behind us were also waiting. A shame.
The perfect night out. The food was exceptional and the cocktails were great too. Often worry this sort of night out can become expensive as well but was pleasantly surprised at the bill. Staff were lovely and every dish we ordered was delicious. I am vegan and there were enough options on the small plates for me that my firmed was also happy with for us to share and we both really enjoyed everything about the night.
Just had the most wonderful dinner here. Food was of the highest quality, lovely atmosphere and all of the staff were absolutely fantastic. Easily the best Greek restaurant I have ever been to!
Nostos is a great upmarket Greek restaurant. The food is really good with great vegetarian and vegan options. Always busy, nice atmosphere and lovely staff though not enough Greek staff! They also have traditional music evenings. We would definitely go again. Loved all the small plates! Vegetarian options: Great choice! We loved the feta nest, tzatziki, aubergine salad for starters. Served with lovely warm homemade pita bread. The vegan moussaka is excellent too. Really authentically Greek but with a little more finesse!
