Greenville County Soil and Water Conservation District are leaders in conservation awareness, urban and land use planning, sustainable agriculture, and water quality protection.
The Greenville County Soil and Water Conservation District protects natural resources through public education, land and water conservation programs, and cooperative efforts with partner organizations. The District is unique in that we are governed by a local commission and funded through county and state government allocations as well as private donations. Commission meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month and are open to the public.
Greenville County Soil and Water Conservation District's mission is to protect natural resources through education, programs, and cooperative efforts with partner organizations to achieve common goals for the benefit of all citizens of Greenville County by promoting and enhancing prudent soil and water conservation practices.
