I was sitting in the hospital next to my husband who had just died of a heart attack. I didn't know what to do next. I prayed for wisdom and some people from church entered the room. I told them I didn't have a funeral home in mind....since we are new comers to this area. They suggested Groover Funeral Home. One man called Mr. Groover and started things rolling. From there on, Mr. Groover and his wonderful staff took care of me and all the details. It was amazing. They were so kind and compassionate, yet resourceful and helpful. I can't say enough about how they helped me and my family walk through this difficult time. I just thank God for directing me to Groover Funeral Home. And a big thanks to all the staff there.
We had the very unfortunate loss of my mother and mother-in-law within one year. We chose Groover for both services. They were incredibly patient, catering, and give us a very memorable event that treasures your loved ones life. Tabitha and Liz were very helpful and sympathetic with our time of need.
The entire staff at Groover Funeral Home was extremely caring and helpful during this difficult time. They took care of everything with professionalism and love.
Terrible business practices. Highly unethical and not compassionate in the slightest. The morticians have more compassion than Rick Groover. Greedy to say the least. I highly don’t recommend coming here unless you are okay with not having closure to your loved one’s death.
Everyone at Groover made us feel comfortable and were very patient. Also they were very honest and up front with everything discussed and ordered. Tabitha was particularly helpful. She is truly and all star at her position.
I'm usually a word of mouth helps improve the business kind of guy, but I guess times change. G.F.H. has been both comforting and easy to work with. No hidden costs, everything is up front. All questions were answered with much reassurance. Everything was accomplished in a timely manner as planned. I pray all future business will go as well.

My family and I were so truly blessed to have had Groover Funeral Home, their staff and specially Michelle. The attention to detail, the kindness, concerns for our family. Helping us with everything from paperwork before and after everything. Questions and concerns we all had, when you are going through so much during the loss of our mother Groover and their staff did such and amazing job. Truly grateful for all your company did. Groover funeral home handled all my wife’s arrangements and felt the care and service were beyond my expectations. I took advantage of the Dignity pre planning so when it’s my time, my family will know exactly what I want and it’s all paid for. Highly recommended . Tabitha made the entire process as easy as could be. We had my wife’s Celebration of Life ceremony at the funeral home and it was BEYOND my greatest expectations. I would highly recommend Groover Funeral Home to anyone who needs this service.
My father pre-paid funeral arrangements with Groover Funeral Home. He passed away the weekend before Hurricane Ian devastated much of Florida, including Manatee County. Michelle was amazing - prompt, friendly, patient, informative - even while being worried about her own home and family, We are grateful for the excellent support during this very sad and stressful time.
