In today’s world of “cookie-cutter” workout programs and constantly opening corporate gyms which have every member do the same workouts or rate a member’s success on their ability to simply increase a 1 repetition maximum (1RM), there comes a time when you as the individual must make the choice to make YOUR SUCCESS the top priority in YOUR training program. While many of the trending workout programs (e.g. CrossFit, Zumba, Boot Camp, Pump It Up, etc.) will provide a challenging and, to an extent, rewarding workout, these programs may not be the best fit for you as an individual.
Do you have a health issue which prevents you from being able to perform at a level where you feel comfortable training in a group environment? Do you have an injury or physical disability which limits your range of motion or ability to perform certain exercises? Do you only perform resistance training in order to support the performance of a different sport, such as bicycling or volleyball or golf? There are a myriad of reasons why your training program should be specific to YOUR needs.
