My boyfriend stayed at the Hampton Inn Moline for one week and did not have a positive experience. Other than the convenience of the location, his stay was tainted by the lack of pest control and cleanliness. By the second night of his stay, he notified the front desk of the ants in the bed and bathroom areas. He was told they would try and get him into another room but it didn't happen. We understand full capacity doesn't always make a room change possible, but to then completely ignore the insect issue and not bother to take care of the situation for the rest of his stay seems rather ludicrous. By the end of the stay he was noticing red marks on his arms and body...turns out they were BED BUG BITES. I'm not including photos in the review, but I can assure you one can't ignore noticing the red welts on his body. You can't tell me that housekeeping doesn't notice problems in the rooms they're cleaning nor that they are being vigilant about the pest issues that happen in their rooms. There wouldn't be these types of issues if they actually were. Mattresses are the tell-tale sign---why aren't they being regularly checked by housekeeping and disinfected each and every time a guest checks out of a room? Why don't they have mattress covers to help with the prevention of BED BUGS? That's just regular maintenance not being followed and it should be. I will take a moment to mention the blandness and poor tasting breakfasts he had as well. While its nice to have the option of a breakfast with a stay, he did not like the quality. We are deeply disappointed at this experience and will certainly NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.
I stayed last night and all was good. Probably the most comfortable bed I ever slept on in my entire life. Nicer then my own bed here at home! Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the toilet did not flush. Other then that, it was a great and comfortable hotel.
Very spacious room, great shower with all the toiletries you'd need. The bed was pretty hard. Breakfast was pretty great. There was the usual stuff plus smoked sausage and omelets. They were pre made but surprisingly good. I never spoke to any staff to know if they were nice. If the bed was softer it would have been 5 stars
The location is not the worst. It is right next to the airport. With that said, the service, maintenance and cleaning service is more of a quality inn or cut rate La Quinta. This is the second time I have started here. The first time was not really good but I figured it was having some maintenance issues and they should have that resolved. This time it is just poor attention to detail and service. The internet is down and so the front desk attendant cannot leave the front desk to bring items that should already be in the room and I could go down and retrieve the items myself however I’m just getting to my room after a long day, in my sleep attire underwear and it’s something that I shouldn’t have to do if the management made sure people were doing their job correctly. The hotel is outdated and needs some major updates. I do not recommend and will not be staying again. Try a super 8. You’ll be just as happy and spend less money.
Book this hotel last minute after a bad experience at another hotel. The staffs are very friendly and amazing. The bed is comfortable and there are soft pillows, which are great. The water pressure was great. They also serve breakfast from 6 to 9. The breakfast was my favorite part. Everything was amazing and fresh. The lady that was preparing and refilling everything was very friendly. Overall, a great experience. I’ll stay here again during my next work visit.
Rooms and carpet soiled. Same old pilled bed cover from 2005. Hot tub out for 3 years now - they just dont want to bother. Food is uneatable. Except the boring oatmeal. Sausage looks like dead fingers soaked in bath water. Good location next to airport parking lot. At least I can go jogging there. But you have to hold your nose....they had to change my room first night due to sewer smells.
Staff was helpful. Room was in decent shape but bed was not super comfortable with a noticeable depression in the mattress. Remainder of the furniture was in good shape. Room was very clean. Breakfast options were numerous but not so tasty. Eggs and sausage were pretty mediocre.
Second time we've stayed here. It is extremely well kept and very clean. Coffee and cookies to welcome us. Breakfast was nicely presented and very good.Rooms: 5/5
Good hotel. Site said they’re undergoing renovations, but I sure couldn’t tell- no disruptions from construction or rubble laying around like happens sometimes. My room was on the first floor in a room that had not been re-done yet, but it was incredibly nice, clean and spacious. Largest hotel bathroom and shower I’ve been in. Also had a great breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
Carole was amazing! We were traveling 5 teams and she was amazing helping with communication the entire time! Her staff, especially Emily were extremely patient and accommodating! Breakfast was great! Highly recommend!Rooms: 4/5
