With more than 100 years' combined experience, the staff of Hand Therapy of Greater Binghamton offers a variety of treatments and resources for all levels of upper extremity care.
Hand Therapy of Greater Binghamton offers specialized occupational therapy services for the upper extremity including shoulders, elbows, forearms, wrists and hands. Our patients include those who have had traumatic injury or cumulative trauma, require rehabilitation after surgery, or who experience diminished function of upper extremities due to disease.
Our goal is to assist patients in regaining the maximum level of function, thereby facilitating their return to the activities of daily living, leisure pursuits and employment. Accourding to the Certification Commission, a certified hand therapist is "an occupational therapist who has a minimum of five years of clinical experience, including 4,000 hours or more in direct practice in hand therapy... the Certified Hand Therapist has succesfully passed a comprehensive test of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper quarter rehabilitation."
Every patient is an individual with unique needs and goals. We focus on the individual while treating their condition with the utmost skill, sensitivity and professionalism.
