Didn't have what I was looking for. The people working there were nice but the people in the bakery were standing around looking very annoyed. Not sure why. There was some rotten meat smell coming from somewhere in the back that took my breath away. I think there was an employee looking for the smell while putting other products away. Check out was pretty quick. Tight parking spaces. They have large and smaller carts which was nice. Floors were clean and shelves were neat.
I’ve shop at Hannafords twice a week for the last 7 years. I went in tonight to get some food to make lunch for the first day of school. Me and another customer were at the deli counter. There were 2 workers behind the counter. They were cleaning up for the end of their shift. When asked if they would cut some sandwich meat. They replied “No” that it was too late. Myself and the other customer expressed that we needed lunch meat for the kids first day of school and that we would greatly appreciate it if they could help us out. Again they replied “No”. I understand wanting to go home after a long day at work, but I also understand customer service. I was not asking for much. I will never go back there again. They were so rude and made me feel like I was annoying them. The other customer said the same.
Hudson Hannaford is always my go to super market. Very rarely do they not have what I am looking for and all staff is very inviting and kind. The store is always extremely clean and stocked well. They have the best selection of ice cream and their bakery is the only super market I will get cake from.
This Hannaford in Hudson is a very good example of the chain. The store is clean, well organized, well stocked, and even has a good, clean restroom. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They manage the flow of traffic to the registers well even during Covid. The only downside to Hannaford as a whole is the quality of the generic brand items. Depending on which one you pick they can be sub-par. The generic brands at Market Basket are honestly better. As for price there used to be a fairly big gap between Hannaford and Market Basket but our comparisons these days show that gap has closed to just about nothing. All in all it's a fine store to do your weekly grocery shopping!
I appreciate that they stay open till 10pm. Every day. And prices are reasonable and sometimes really good. And I really like it that you don't have to hand the cashier a special card or give your phone number to get their deals.
Absolutely disgusting in many ways including ethics. Waiting for a response or excuse . But very weak management!
First time being in the Derry St store, and it was a pleasant shopping experience. I'll definitely shop there again in the near future.
Hannaford To Go is super convenient and the employees who bring out our groceries are always super friendly.
It can be a bit pricey, but the store itself is easy to navigate. I actually like the layout better than Market Basket. Selection is usually decent as well. I would definitely come here again!
Hannaford is always clean and I love shopping here. It's the ONLY grocery store for me
