Social Media Policy: It is Happy Valley’s policy to foster a culture that harnesses new and emerging technologies. The City seeks to be a trusted source for communicating and disseminating information more efficiently while also promoting its reputation. On September 20, 2016, the City Council adopted Policy 16-16 to guide the use of the City’s social media accounts. The mission of the Happy Valley Police Department, in partnership with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, is to be a progressive and innovative organization that promotes, delivers, and preserves an assurance of security, safety, and quality law enforcement services to all people of the City of Happy Valley.
The Happy Valley Police force serves a growing nine square mile area with a population of over 15,000 residents. Nine full-time patrol officers and supervisors, a detective, a community service officer, and the police administration are stationed in the Happy Valley Community Policing Center. They serve the public as a safety hub where citizens can report crime, obtain information, have questions answered, or meet with an officer.
