I called late at night because of an unknown strange car with loud music parked for over 40 minutes on my street and the noise was disturbing, especially on a weeknight. The police came quickly and we enjoyed the silence of the night again. The person who answered was polite and respectful. I have met the police a few times and at the local fair and I absolutely love them. I appreciate how they keep our streets safe, in order, and how responsive they are. I came to live here and dont care for my previous trendy /luxury neighborhood because they didn't know how to manage the city, not matter how much property tax I paid. I dont mind paying property taxes in Simi since The City of Simi Valley is superb at managing the neighborhoods, the Fire department at managing fires, and Simi Valley Police is superb at managing crime on our streets. Your all a great team. Thank you all for your service.
very helpful, the guy acting in receptionist-like role, i believe was named Officer Duncan, was highly helpful with me when i came in need of assistance. so, thank you.
I have been living in Simi for a little more than a year now. I have been pulled over several times for reasons I won't go into other than to say that they were justified and the officers were doing their job properly. I find these officers to be efficient, polite, professional, and above all, anxious to be of help to citizens. Each an every one tried their best to advise me on how to solve my problems. I was treated with respect and dignity. I sorely regret not having written down their badge numbers and names but, I was very depressed at the time and thought of such things much too late. For this, I humbly apologize. In my opinion Simi Valley has one of the finest Police departments of any city. Thanks to each and every one of our brave officers.
I have dealt with the police a few times and each time the officer did not do anything help me with my issue or they just harass my friends to the point that they don't want to come to Simi Valley anymore. My two black friends walked me to my car late one night and an officer pulled me over. He asked what we were doing even though he saw them escorting me a few minutes before. I told him they were walking me to my car because it was late at night. Recently a driver threw an object at my car and I was following it to get information, but a cop pulled me over while I was on the phone with 911. Then the cop said she couldn't do anything to help me even though she let the other driver get away. One time my car was vandalized and my apartment manager and I knew who did it, but the officer didn't do anything despite the evidence given to them. I have lived here for 30 years and I'm extremely disappointed by the SV police.
I tried to call about an illegal car parked infringing on my driveway and the mail box. I had to leave messages. I made several attempts...still voice mail. When I tried to reach the watch Commander, still another voice mail...When talking for any officer or a "human being",eventually my call was transferred to dispatch... I am still waiting for someone to show up. I have great respect for our Police Department in particular for the rank & file,,,it look likes that it is the management that leaves a lot to desire. Have a very pleasant day ,whoever will read this message!!!
Thank you SVPD and the great volunteers at the Citizens Petrol. We recently returned from vacation and knowing you kept an eye of things for us was very reassuring. Keep up the good work and again, thanks from all of us.
Officers Darrell spell?, Sean Baker, and one other office I forgot his name. I went into the station to talk to them about an incident and they were all 3 awesome. Thank you very much for your help and support.
Probably the worst police department in the whole state of California. Been pulled over twice by the same officer. I believe his name is butter or baker not sure which one but he was very heavyset with a mustache. Both times asked me if I've been drinking. Not one drink in my system. Told me to get out and do a test = passed. It's like they are trying to give you a DUI with no probable cause. Next time I'm filing a complaint if this happens again
I want to thank Officer Ellis for going above and beyond of what is required to settle a custody dispute. Because of Officer Eliis' actions and thoughtfulness i was able spend the Weekend with my son .. Thank you very much.
Main focus is on harassing the homeless and pulling over teenagers out past curfew. God help you if an actual crime is committed. If you need to find them you can see them eating or buying coffee all over sycamore plaza, with their engines still running
