I am the mother of five adult sons and that's the age group that honestly works best with this location. We took a day off to visit the museum, and I think it was well worth it. So many interesting things to look at. To be honest It's really a bit dated and needs to have some work done but the collection is not done by professionals like most museums. It's the private collection of Harold Warp, and he did a fantastic job of collecting and displaying so much interesting stuff! They were working on the roof of one of the buildings and I hope they are able to keep working on updating. It was a great way to spend the day with my family.
Very nice day. The temperature was perfect and the displays were awesome. It wasn't crowded but they were doing some much needed renovations. They displays are just fabulous and the wide array of objects are out of sight......Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
I have never seen such an extensive collection of vehicles, agricultural equipment, or historic artifacts in one place. We must have walked 4 miles just looking at everything. I should not have worn my flip flops for this tour. Very cool and well thought out from the beginning in 1953.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$11–15
We always love stopping by here on our way through. We'll worth the time to walk through the exhibits. They do have parking for RVs. They even let us use a campsite to plug in on a hot day so our dog wouldn't get hot while we toured it. Very nice people.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15Parking spacePlenty of parkingParking optionsFree parking lot
Wow! What a collection of by gone days! This is the biggest collection of life in the past to the 1800's. Get there early and make a day of seeing how life was, the progression of cars, homes and farm equipment. This is great for kids and adults!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
OMG! Holy smokes! This place is a Disneyland for history buffs. Completely unbelievable that this museum is hidden in the middle of Nebraska. If this place were in a large city they would have to stay open 24 hours a day just to accommodate the number of people that would come. I can not even begin to estimate how many cars, trucks, tractors, wagons, motorcycles, planes, helicopters, boats, TRAINS, etc. The best way to describe it is a journey through the generations in the settling of America. Not just Nebraska. I could go on and on but I won’t. Just go for yourself. You almost need two days to cover this place and that is no exaggeration.
A piece of history. Very interesting and wonderful way to see History. From pioneer days to the modern automobile/farm equipment.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
This IS American history and SO worth a visit. The collections are mostly chronologically displayed and extensive!! The arts of the past are also well represented. The imagination to think of ways to address hardships of the past - imagine homesteading before any infrastructure and so few people to help establish your claim. Nothing but grass, human determination and a desire for a new life. Take a walk through our history from the 1800s through 1990s and beyond. Interests for everyone!!! You may be truly and profoundly surprised. This detour is highly recommended. Support Pioneer Village so generations can be informed about the trials and triumphs of generations past. Of note: Pioneer Village is under needed renovations. The campground needs updating but we found it quiet and usable.
Best place! I've been coming here since I was a child. Brought my children. Now my grandkids.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
I have always loved toy trains. There was a lot to see. I wish I could have add to it.
