Amazing trip and located right across from the Ft Worth Zoo! I went with a field trip and other parents. The visit was educational and fun with each station well presented and engaging for the kids. They had an opportunity to make candles and the souvenirs were great. Each kid walked away excited to have been there. And the adults had fun too.
My class had a great time learning about Log Cabin life. From blacksmithing to candle dipping to school days, it was an interesting tour! The guides were all engaging and knowledgeable. When you buy your ticket, you can choose the candle add-on to participate in candle dipping. If you’ve not done it before, you should! Also, there’s a gift shop full of soaps, wooden toys, local coffee, etc, inside the cabin where you buy your tickets. Fun experience !
Such a wonderful experience for our kids and adults. How amazing is it to learn about this part of our country before our modern technology and amenities changed everything. I want to plan a family excursion to a remote log cabin to experience that as well. Thank you for your inspiration everyone at Log Cabin Village! So much education and fun in one place

A wonderful local museum! There are tons of interactives, a fun and helpful staff, and something for all ages! Even our toddler had a wonderful experience.
Wonderful place to learn history! The staff is very knowledgeable and engaging. They answered any questions my kids asked and let them give a hand at dipping candles. We had a great time.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Nice place to visit to see actual historical items, way of living, buildings such as log cabins, schoolhouse, blacksmith shop and more.. Very friendly staff. Clean place. Cute little gift shop at the entrance. Definitely a family event to spend a good 1-2 hours at. You even walk out with a bit more knowledge of the 1800s.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
I went the Log Cabin Village this morning. Missed the dedication ceremony of the Stopping Stones but some people that had attended shared that it was very nice. I toured the Village. I really enjoyed seeing and interacting with the period characters. They were knowledgeable and friendly. Today was free with free parking. Coffee and refreshments were available outside for a small fee. Not sure if that's a regular thing but it was appreciated.
