Not happy to wait 1.5 months to get an appointment for title and registration transfer. Nobody before or after me. This is not okay. Only good thing was that I didn't have to wait. They should start drop in again.
Very fast, and efficient. People were super friendly and personable. The process was quick and painless, given I had all the correct documentation that was needed for a title transfer
The worst. Still on Covid protocol lockdowns aug '22 apparently to keep their workload to virtually nothing. Their people are clueless about process/paperwork. I've been there 3 times so far for a simple title transfer gift, not sale and each time they want something else. None of which is in ther documented processes and it is completely duplicative....No alternatives though, freaking monopoly on those attempting to comply with the law/regulations of Texas.
Turned away by staff, was told that they are not accepting walk ins because they are to busy, there was no one there. I then called their office right outside their doors, I saw and heard one of their phones ring, right in front of staff mind you, and they did not pick it up or acknowledge it. The staff is lazy and management is incompetent. I wish we had better people to represent our state and country.

Came to get a temp tag today, they are super nice but slow probably bcz they have a few new people. Something that should've taken no more then 10 minutes took 30 minutes. All in all good service.
To register my out of state car in Texas, I had to spent a few hours here. And like any government regulated process, there was a wait, but the clerk that finally helped me was pleasant and efficient. I was out the door with TX plates in hand, minus $199 in fees and taxes, within 2 hours.
Great experience today. This will be my go-to office for all future needs. Kaytlynn and Tiffani were great!!
Last Friday, October 1, I had the good fortune of meeting a most helpful employee at the Tax Office on Buccaneer. I arrived at the office around 1:30 in the afternoon and realized, along with 4 other Harris County residents standing outside, that only individuals with appointments would be admitted inside because of restrictions. Within a minute of my arrival, a young lady by the name of Stephanie came out to ask what each of us needed, e.g., vehicle title transfer, registration renewal, etc. Without breaking any Covid protocol rules, she was courteous, respectful, and knowledgeable as she went in and out of the building to handle our needs. Kudos to you, Stephanie, on your efficiency and professionalism.
