I have two children that attend heather park Kindercare, they love it there. I love all the apps, pictures I get daily. The staff teachers, cook is super nice and caring. Upper management is easy to speak with. I have so many positive things I can say.. thank you ALL for loving our children it is definitely appreciated. I definitely recommend this place
My son who is 6 years old has been with KinderCare for a year. They were amazing, if anything happened with my child they let me know right away. They let me know his progress and I loved getting the daily food and bathroom reports and photos. My son is delayed and they really got him ready for kindergarten. Everyone was really nice and understanding, if I decided to have anymore kids this KinderCare will be my number one choice. Thank you for everything!!!
I can only speak on my personal experience, helping to inform any future parents of thinking of letting their child attend this daycare! 1. If your children has a learning delay. This is not a place for your children to attend. 2. If your child works with a therapist that has to make weekly visits to the facility. This is not a place for your child to attend. 3. The teachers that are here are no passionate, nor prolly trained to do there jobs! They’re mainly barely legal teens that does not have the proper training nor knowledge to deal with children with learning delays. 4. These are a bunch of KARENS may I say & they’re not very smart IT SHOWS! 5. They lie within there facility to keep it within there walls, however they continued to lie an make claims of my child’s behavior only to remove him permanently from the center only because they’ve already fulfilled his spot as a student at the center! 6. They have made multiple lies about my child hitting other children including his therapist & also his own teacher! lol that was a complete lie talking to the therapist she couldn’t not fathom the thought of this accusation. 7. The directors are not that smart either, one only cares about the checks comes an the other just appears to be concern about eating a lot. 8. Moral of the experience the teachers are not qualified in any way! There like 18 yr old kids watching a group of babies with barely to any experience. 9. If your child has a learning delay they will remove them eventually by causing faking allegations & say they can’t do it…BUT I completely know understand YOUR NOT trainned for anything! FYI: If your child has a learning delay once again this is NOT A PLACE for your child!
I have been a parent at Heather Park for over 10 years. All 3 of my sons attended the school until recently. My youngest, who is 4, has been at Heather Park consistently since he was 6 weeks old. He has been through 5 different class changes and all different teachers, different kids, different schedules, etc that goes with change. Then, while in the 4 year old room, he gets kicked out. Yep... kicked out. Two weeks leading up to this he has become a "behavior problem". My little love bug all of a sudden is a problem. I talked to the "teacher". No answers. I tried the asst. director... "oh, he's just 4". At the end of this 2 weeks although my son has been there since 6 weeks of age, I get a letter stating my son is no longer welcome. I stayed home with son for 2 weeks to better understand what he was going through. I didn't see what they saw. So, I went looking for a new center. And THANK GOD. I found a new center and couldn't be happier. My son has been there for a few weeks now and things are wonderful. When we first started I was up front and honest about his behavior and all. They asked "what happened with your parent meetings?"..... WHAT??? I had never had any parent meetings!!! AS IT TURNS OUT..... HEATHER PARK IS A JOKE. My older boys had already aged out of the program. But since this happened with their little brother, they have told me nightmare stories about the after school care. I once would have brushed those stories off as kids tales, but not so much now.
I LOVE this place! The teachers and owners are just absolutely wonderful. We have had our kids in several different establishments over the years. Our oldest is 12, but I can tell you hands down this has been THE best! The teachers are amazing with the children and the owners are just wonderful people to be around. They have the kids best interest and work with you and the children. They keep you informed and I have yet to see one of them get impatient with the kids. Love love loooove this place and so does my child. They teach healthy communication skills and hold the kids accountable which is perfect for their little growing minds. Super affordable as well if you are private pay. Def more bang for your buck compared to most places we have encountered. You will LOVE this place. I got to add something else....I have always been informed of any disciplinary actions with my child or something that has happened to my child. My daughter has always screamed for me not to leave her with other pre k’s and this is the first time she actually got up in the mornings so excited to see her teachers. She LOVES Ms Tana And Ms Sarah and her afternoon teacher. Hilda is so wonderful. We came from a pre k where my child was abused and talked so awful to and when I called Mrs Hilda she had been the third pre k I called that day. She was very patient with me and answered every question and concern I had. She made sure we got my baby in as soon as possible. The staff are extremely caring and you really get a sense of family here. We were new to the area and they made us feel right at home. They greet the kids at the door by name, the teachers make sure to make eye contact and tell us hey and have a good day. They’re perfect with the kids and My daughter has said she has NEVER been yelled at. In the 12 yrs that I’ve had my kids in daycare and pre k this is the first time I’ve found somewhere that NEVER raises their voices. My child’s vocabulary has really flourished and she’s learned so much. Mrs Hilda and Mrs Kelly are just so wonderful. I can’t say enough really. 5 stars doesn’t do justice this place is just amazing.
They are great with my son, he's been going since he was 6 months old.
I have been associated with Heather Park Child Development Center for several years. As a privately contracted Early Childhood Educator for over 20 years, I have had the opportunity to teach in multiple schools in and around the Triangle region of North Carolina. There are far too many child care facilities in this area that are just that...."child care". By that same respect, there are far too few genuine "preschools" where the children are actually taught the things they will need to give them a good foundation for their later education. I can honestly say that Heather Park CDC is a "shining Star" when it comes to the facilitation of true Early Childhood Education. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and truly cares about the well being of their children, their children's families, and their staff. I have personally made reference to this school on many occasions when asked by other child care providers for examples of "how to do it the right way". I am very appreciative of this organization and others like it and am proud to partner with them in helping to prepare our next generation of leaders. Lee Marlow
We've had such a wonderful experience with Heather Park CDC. We were new to Garner without family or friends nearby when we first enrolled our son at the age of 1.5yrs. He stayed through his transition to middle school. The friends we have made through Heather Park are lifelong friends, and the staff and teachers were a second family to my son.
All my childrenall 5 of them absolutely LOVE Heather Park. Every morning they ask me if "today is a school day"! When I tell them yes, they always smile and shout "yay!" lol. When they go to their classrooms, they always run and give their teachers a hug. You can tell that they truly love their teachers. It's very obvious they are well taken care of and loved by the teachers. Dropping my kids off in the morningwhile trying not to be late for work can be quite chaotic....so can picking up them when you get off 15 minute before the center closes. The staff have helped me out so much getting my kids in the car or helping me gather up all their things in the classroom. If one of my children are sick, every teacher I see makes sure to stop and ask how he/she is doing. Every teacher makes eye contact with us and says hello when they see us. The teachers, even one's in other classrooms, know my children's names and give them hugs when they see them. It's the little things that make such a huge impact. They really make us feel welcomed. Heather Park is like our 2nd family! :
