Hertz

I rented a car one-way from Flint, MI to Knoxville, TN Clinton Highway for 7 days, May 20-27. I returned the vehicle 30 minutes earlier than on my rental agreement. Fast forward almost two months later, and Hertz has over-drawn my credit card by charging me for TWO weeks, plus a late return fee. I am disputing the charges. Will never, ever rent from Hertz again and will let all my coworkers and friends know about my experience.

Unethical practice that needs legal action. I booked a Tesla in the morning to be ready at 3 pm. Local Hertz office called at 2:15 pm saying tesla won't be ready until 5 pm and I have to pay additional 30% more for another car. This is an unethical practice that they have to pay for my time and damages at court. See you there.

I rented a 2023 Malibu. I'm 6'7" and it had lots of room, the trunk was good size also! It was very clean and lots of pep!

Kept me on hold for 12 minutes and hung up on me when I asked if they had any full-size vans. No offer of assistance whatsoever.

It's called to get some general information and the lady was so rude acted like. She didn't want to answer any of my questions so I just had never mind. I'll go to enterprise instead

Wow, was leery about getting a car from small airport, expecting a variety of possible issues and had none. They are one their game! Staff were helpful and efficient, car ready, clean and good to go. Easy check in and out. Same easy process on return! Great job! Thank you for a stress-free experience!

Positive experience. Picked up a rental car recently and had no issues. Prepaid online, the customer service agent was friendly and all I had to do was sign and go. Easy pick up, car was ready on time, I just arrived early. Car was easy drop off using the drop box. Had a brand new car with less 1k miles and had a good experience renting. Due to increase travel rates where getting really high $200 a day but I don’t think the branch directly influences those.

An employee "accidentally voided my contract" the night before i turned the vehicle in. The manager made me wait until i was nearly late to catch my flight....and then surfaced to tell me that she had to generate a new contract. They then charged me $40 / day for insurance verses the $20 / day that I agreed to, on my original contract. This brought my rental to over $700. When I complained, I was told that the insurance rate change "had nothing to do with them." This was a scam to give them an opportunity to change the rate that was advertised... and sold to me... by Expedia. And they are unwilling to assist me after the fact. This company is awful and I will never use them again. Who in their right mind would pay $40 / day for the insurance?? I would not have rented the vehicle if I had known that the rate would be that high or if their employees were that incompetent. Having said that, I do not believe the manager's story. I believe the voiding of my original contract... was intentional. As for the vehicle itself, it was filthy upon pick-up but the vehicle and it's capabilities were as advertised. DO NOT USE HERTZ FOR ANY REASON.
