Horrible experience ! I spoke with someone from Hertz who set up a reservation. They sent me a email with a confirmation number. I tried calling the Middletown location numerous times with no answer. I go to pick up the car. The guy told me there wasn’t a car available. I told him that I had a confirmation email. His response was, that doesn’t mean anything because there isn’t anything available. I called the number that set up the confirmation and was told that the Middletown location didn’t answer the phone when the confirmation was set up. How can a confirmation email get sent if nobody communicated? The guy behind the desk had no compassion and had the nerve to smile as I was expressing my disappointment. I will never do business there or recommend anyone to even waste their time. The only reason I gave a star was because the corporate office was nice.
Reserved a car online only to find out when I get there they have no cars at all. Guy at the counter said oh yea its never up to date and offered me a Tesla and proceeded to tell me how it's not a great car because of charging it. He also complained he was a one man show and had to do everything himself...ok and??..why are you telling me this and why isn't the site up to date?! I drove all the way there 4p min away to be told we have nothing. Terrible service!!!

My first time renting from hertz and probably my last I rented a car online and upon arrival I was told I can’t rent the car. It was a complete waste of time never again
Worst place ever. I had to drive her to confirm a reservation through insurance to ensure they would have a car for me. I told the employee what time I would be in. I paid my coworker to give me a ride to and from to drop my car off and get the rental because the employee said he would not be able to pick me up. I get there and he tells me he has no cars. How unprofessional can you be to not know the previous day that you wouldn’t have any cars. I wasted my time, my money, and my lunch break because he doesn’t know how to do his job. A simple phone call would have been great seeing as how I told him what time I would be in 24 hours ago.

I picked up a car in the morning front desk was very nasty Give me a broken car The car was Supposed to go for maintenance fuel was 3/4 in the contract says full 8/8 I wouldn't recommend for anybody this branch I am president circle member I never experienced such bad service
one only person works here. they frequently leave the location for gas which leaves everyone waiting outside.
Went to rent a car today and received the car dirty inside and out. Also the car was dented. When I asked if they needed more time to clean it, they said I could take it to the car wash and they would pay for it. The inside of the car condition they said it was the best they could do. I then asked for a manager he told the rep "this happens all the time, people just want money off the bill." I don't want money off the bill, I just want a clean car when I pickup! Never again this place shouldn't be a Hertz at all.
Even with a $500 down payment in cash and great credit hurts would not rent us a vehicle. We had a debit card issued from a bank and valid license with me and my wife both running the sign and put both our licenses both our bank cards and everything on the line. The answer was still no. Wow
