Don't expect to get the gasoline car you choose online. They're transitioning to all-electric. I had some anxiety renting/driving one as soon as I was told AFTER all the docs were signed and deposit withdrawn. No home charger is given and a 250 mile range limit. Charging out in the wild has an annoying learning curve with a multitude of apps to sign in to. The rental price was the best in the area tho and I got a Chevy 2023 model.
Pretty upset with the behavior of this location. Website says I'm able to get a car the next day and lets me submit a request to pick up a vehicle at 8:00am. I get a call the day of about a half hour before pick up time and am told that they actually don't have any vehicles and have to wait till 10 before any vehicle comes in. I was told that I would be called back when the vehicle was ready for pickup. I was never called back. Ended up having to take a train instead.
I reserved for a rental car two weeks before and when the day came they called me saying they don't have any cars available that day. What an irresponsible people they are. Never ever trust these people. Never rent anything at this location. People are all thieves here. Skip it. Rather I would rent cars at Enterprise from now on.
Worst agency ever my sister reserved a tesla and when it was time for pick up they didn’t even have the car dumb people didnt even call to let her know they gave her a bolt didnt explain how to charge it we been having to charge this car every hour! Worst place ever !!!!
terrible service and both times i tried to go through them they lied to me and wasted my time. i asked simple questions and they told me one thing and when i went in they said they couldn’t help me. i would never suggest going to hertz.
Unprofessional behavior they don’t have cars available in stock on phone they said it’s available. All the way to 25 miles I gone by Uber and did not get the car . Wasted my money in Uber to reach there Merced office. Totally rude behavior of the ladies and her manager was eating in middle of lobby .. !!!!
Worst customer service that I ever experienced with a rental company
This experience is going to sound bad. I rented a car and it should have been an SUV. I got a call 1 hour before pickup to tell me not only did they not have an SUV they didn't have any cars. A halfway expected this because of the situation in the world today. Then the woman remembered that she had one vehicle on the lot. A tiny Chevy spark. I told her I would stop by in an hour and see what she had. All she had was the Chevy spark. But I have a car, and that's saying something in today's world. Both in place were pleasant and friendly through the entire experience. They only lose one star because the world is so jacked up and they're suffering from it but it impacts me. 3 months later I have my car back. The delay has nothing to do with the dealership and everything to do with the manufacturer.
First we got there and we're not even acknowledged for 20 minutes. The customer service by Denise is horrible and then she says I dnt feel like providing you a rental you can leave.
Denise Wiggins is the worst manager I’ve ever interacted with. I had a car rental paid and I assumed ready. She called me the DAY OF my rental to tell me it would’ve be ready for another 3 hrs as if that’s ok. I told her I needed my rental on time I was going to an airport. She found a car but it was not the size I needed so I choose to wait for the van I ordered to be transported from Stockton. Then I proceeded to wait another two hours in the office while she argues and was rude to other customers. The other customers in the shop asked me why I was waiting so long and told me they felt disrespected by her too. Denise was on the computer while they were talking to me. She then finally decided to ring me up was finishing up and stated, just take a seat and we’ll clean the car for you. I said I still have to wait longer? I’d been waiting for two hours past my reservation date. Once I asked that Denise shut down and said she would not deal with me which caught me off guard considering I didn’t raise my voice and asked a normal question. She then kept saying she made her choice and my reservation was cancelled. Worst rental experience of my life. Not only is this manager unprofessional but she’s known in Merced for being horrible. I just saw a thread on Twitter discussing similar experiences. Hertz or the owner of this location should do something.
