If I could give 0 stars I would. My reservation was 9:30- didn’t start check in till 9:45 got told about the $200 deposit not clearly stated on Online Hertz. Told them I could use my debit card and they argued with my sister and me till 10:55 stating I was past check in time. Then I told the manager to call corporate . He conveniently left my earshot to place the call then came back and said they gave “special permission “. Finally, get to my rental to find it had not been cleaned-trash in seat pockets, white powdery stuff on one door, sand everywhere, and some crystalline something in cup holders. They admitted it wasn’t clean then go to car 2-also not clean with pet hair all over and dog claw scratches all over the tailgate. They put down Mileage Out as 11878 when the real mileage was 11886.
Abysmal. We walked in to pick up our reserved vehicle and were met with a long line of check ins and a stare down between the clerk and a customer. After several minutes of silence, I asked if there were any cars available. The clerk told me there weren’t, and they were waiting for a manager to call them back to release corporate cars for rent. After a few more minutes of silence, the clerk went into the office and stayed there for 30 minutes, not communicating anything to the line of 6 customers. We left.
I have the most pleasant experience thanks to Hanna. Everything was easy. She helped me after I had a very bad experience with the Anderson store. She went above and beyond to make everything work out. Will definitely return.
Oh my goodness!. Quite honestly, the nicest people work here. Eddie that works at the front desk and Bob were so incredibly amazing and kind towards me. They go out of their way to make sure their costomers are well taken care of. After I dropped off the vehicle, I was trying to find a way to get back and Eddie offered for Bob to take me back since it was a short drive away but would have been a long walk for me since I am 59 years old. This is just one of the reasons I keep returning to Hertz for my rentals and why other customers return as well. We receive value for what we pay for and the outmost respect. I am so very grateful for all of Hertz employees generous kind hearts and high level of professionalism. Thank you for caring so much about your customers. May God bless you all.
I’ve been traveling and using rental cars 60 plus years and I had the worst rental car experience with Hertz in Greenville South Carolina! I booked a seven passenger SUV for 21 days. I booked it through third-party. This trip was leisure and I was traveling with my mother who is 87 years old. I went to the counter to pick up my car and the girl there cancel my reservation because I was 30 minutes late and so my car to someone else. This car was paid in full to the third-party in the amount of $1473.83. I could not believe it because it was 9 o’clock in the evening and she said they have a cancellation policy of two hours. My plane just landed I flew United it was approximately 1/2 hour past the time she thought I was do in. I handed her my four page email she read it line for line. Nothing in my confirmation email stated that there was a two hour cancellation policy. I asked to speak to your supervisor she called her on her cell phone. That lady was not committal and unconcerned answering the same. The counter clerk then reached behind her and handed me a wrinkled up paper which was their own document stating their policy.. I was never given that policy it is not readily available and And head that disclosure behind the desk. Hertz made $1500. from me then urned around and sold that car to someone else! The counter clerk appeared quite proud for her sale. I am working with my third-party for full reimbursement and was able to rent a car with budget who was in the same building for $1600. At least I was on the road. This was a horrible experience and a financial windfall. I will never use Hertz again in my entire lifetime And people should be aware that they are doing this!
Had a great experience- until I tried to return my car. They said I could leave it at the car shop, where my car was being fixed after a wreck, and call them and they would come get it. I've been trying to call their number for 8 days and the number is disconnected and will not work. I've talked to Hertz Corporate TWICE and I get a person who I can barely understand and who barely understands me and they tell me now I have to go to the store itself because there is nothing Hertz Corporate can do which I find hard to believe. This is SO unprofessional and I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future and recommending my friends and family do the same.
What a fantastic experience with Manager, Mr. Avery upon pickup from reservations last week. He was very cordial and professional. I am an avid enterprise patron. Per the recommendation of a friend, I contacted Hertz. They reserved the car of my choice. What a wonderful experience as a Hertz customer. Unsure if I will ever patronize Enterprise again. They add on unknown fees and request a $300.00 deposit fee. Hertz in Greenville, SC fee is $200.00, and the car selections are much better, and the staff is more professional and friendly. I recently used Hertz for the first time and had a very pleasant experience. I made the reservation online a few days prior and got there about 10 minutes before pick up. The office was clean and I was greeted as soon as the guy got off the phone. He briefly explained the need-to-knows then took me to my rental. Returning it was just as easy. I went in, they did their return inspection and I was on my way. I would definitely recommend Hertz and I will be using them again if needed. * There is a $200 deposit that you get back once you return the vehicle, but they do not specify that online so just be prepared for that
I ended up going to hertz because someone hit my car. When I went to the first location, no one was there building had been moved. Then went to the correct location and had “issues scanning my license” I waited while every prerequisite required of me was bypassed by the two customers behind me. I had to go to the dmv the following day then go back to hertz all on my lunch break, only for trash to be left in the car and not a full tank of gas. Moving forward to drop off, I placed the gas back exactly where it was when I received the car, only for them to take the money out of my deposit for not being a full tank of gas. Very much a rip off and disappointed in this. I would give no stars if I could cause of the hassle and waste of time only to be played with.
I needed a rental at short notice after someone hit my car. Hertz saved the day for me! Getting the car was quick and turning it back in was even quicker. They were very professional and nice. I really appreciated the service at Hertz. I had to pick the car up in Greenville because I didn't know at the time I had a Hertz 2 miles from my house in Anderson. I was able to drop the car off at the Anderson store with no issues! The car was very clean, and drove nicely. And I was told they don't really keep cars with over 14k miles. Which I thought was a relief to know I would be at peace putting my kids in a unknown car. If I or anyone I know ever needs a rental I will be recommending Hertz Rental!
