Very good area, came to fish and didn’t catch much but it was a scene. Open and nice area. Boat ramp is a little steep. I’d recommend a 4x4 just in case. Lake level was a little low plenty of water craft to rent. Didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant but will next time. Day passes are all day till 10 PM and it’s completely family and friendly. Id recommend checking this place out. Staff was very helpful kind and knowledgeable.
First time at hidden cove. It was relaxing. The view was great. We had a graduation party at the cabins and it turned out great. The only negative was the 20 dollar entry fee to the park. I guess they have to make money but I would assume they also charged the people who booked the cabin. Who knows... Would still recommend for anyone who is having a gathering and wants the lake/outdoor setting.
Nice park, clean restrooms, very nice basketball goal very nice, and sand VB court. They seem to be investing money into the facilities. Site 38 needs some drainage work. It flooded very quickly 3 to 4 inches of water on the concrete and we had to pack up in a sloppy mess; other sites were dry by the time we packed up. It’s camping though so it’s a minor inconvenience. Just thought I’d share.
Their website isn’t great at detailing what you get at a reserved tent site, so here you go : we had sites 28 and 29. Each reserved site has a covered pavilion with one picnic table and one charcoal grill nearby. There’s also a shared water spigot. There is a fire pit at each site but some were more usable than others. Sites are quite large and offer plenty of shaded areas. Beware of the poison ivy and poison oak covering many of the trees in the area. Bathrooms were regularly cleaned and include 3 stalls, 2 sinks and an air dryer. There is electricity in the bathroom but not at the tent sites. There are no showers at the bathrooms near duck loop. The reason for the 4 star review is that the grounds security did not enforce quiet hours. We called many times young kids and neighboring sites partied well into the early hours of 3-4 AM.
Had a great RV spot 4th of July weekend. Came with a private beach, sheltered from the rest of the park. Beach area was a little muddy but we could get the pontoon right up the shore and not have to pull it out at night. Will book again.
Great place to camp, and well taken care of. The only complaint I would have, is the bathrooms have no AC. Super hot, and muggy. Also the timer on the lights for the bathroom, need to be set longer. Both times I showered, I ended up in the dark! Lol Overall... A great weekend, and we'll be back for sure! Nearby activities: Kayak, and Paddle board rentals Walkability: Nature trails
We love this place! We rented the pavilion for our church event and it was an amazing day. They have remodeled the restrooms pretty nice. Rent is a little bit pricey but you can see they use the money to keep the park in good condition.
Extremely disappointed about our weekend trip to this RV park. Checked in Friday afternoon about 3pm. Got to the unleveled sloping pad and got set up. It wasn't long before we started noticing cigarette butt's all over the site along with dog poop. The previous guests were even kind enough to fill our fire pit with bagged poop and trash. Calling the office was useless, they said maintenance had left for the day and someone will be out between 8-4pm on Saturday. This never happened. I was also sold firewood from the front desk only to be told to put the fire out by security due to a fire ban the past 2 weeks.Obviously a disconnect between desk and security. Lastly the bathrooms near our site smelled like death and were unusable. Pro's: Its near the water.
My family was out here camping, and this place is the best kept secret in town. Apparently you can rent the grotto’s by the day from their website. $20 to get in, but you have the lake, and very clean bathrooms. I didn’t see showers, but there may be some on site. Can tent camp, and lots of griddles for cooking with wood or charcoal.
I wanted to take a look at this place, my son and his family had booked a site for their upcoming visit. They would let me look unless I paid them $20 yo just look at the place. Then in the Monday prior to their Thursday visit, a dead body came floating to shore, I suggested they cancel their reservation, they have two little boys. They did cancel their reservations, but did not get their deposit back, even though they were concerned for their safety, Bodies floating to shore, $20 for someone to come in, definitely not worth it.
