Beautiful , well kept and conveniently located. This campground is great, generous sites, clean pool, friendly people. It’s more of a mature crowd , not many kids , but we take our kids and we don’t feel out of place, seasonal folks are very welcoming. Not a lot for planned activities , but if you like a simple well maintained campground it’s perfect !
We love Highbury Campground and the owner Mervyn is very pleasant and very accommodating; It is one of the best in the valley. It's extremely quiet and pleasant with the exception of the 2 end Seasonal campsites further in the road on the left side. Always loud partying at this site on weekends & it does not end at 11pm. Hoping this year it does!
This is a quiet and clean park. It is well maintained and the washrooms are very clean. The showers are coin operated but for a 7 minute shower for the price of 1 dollar, you can't complain as it helps keep from wasting our precious water .overall, this park is is on par with the best of them. To mention that they have a beautiful pool is a big plus for them.
Very nice, wooded sites fairly level. BUT even though they promote it ,WiFi was terrible. No cable or OTA channels. Was there for 2 weeks
Being an avid fisherman...I'm reluctant to let people know about my favorite fishing spots. I feel the same way about Highbury...one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed. We were there in July with friends...and the stay was wonderful. Right from the check-in everything was great. The owner Marvin was very friendly and helpful. We and our friends were in fifth wheel trailers. This place is very well kept...clean and tidy and the washrooms are spotless. We stayed there for a week and it was incredibly quiet and peaceful....and that was true even when the place filled up on the weekend. I won't tell you what sites we were in...because that is still secret. My only negative is the wifi.....pretty well non-existent....and which , given the camground's price point, should be table stakes. Other than that this is an excellent campground.
Stayed at Highbury Gardens for a few nights this summer. We loved it. Very friendly atmosphere between the staff and the campers. Sites were big, clean and easy to get in/out of. Definitely plan on staying there again the next time we're in the area.Service: 5/5
So lovely. Peaceful and full of trees. The bathrooms are always impeccably clean as well as the swimming pool. We tent camp here for a few nights most summers and always look forward to going back.
Great place to stay for tenting, RVs or trailers. Huge pull through sites available, also quieter more tree lined options. The owner Mervin is super kind and helpful, and clearly takes pride in the grounds. One of the most well kept sites I've stayed in. Clean, good bathrooms with paid showers, paid laundry facilities were a huge bonus, small conveniences store on site, and a lovely nature walk down to the creek. Also a well kept pool that was nice and refreshing.
Fantastic campground! We have stayed here many times over the past 20 years and this is our favourite campground. The whole campground is kept very clean and tidy, including the pool and bathrooms. The sites are grassy and there are plenty of trees for some shade on a hot summer day. If you want to take a walk, there is a very nice nature trail that is by a little brook. The owners are very friendly. This is a perfect campground for all ages.
The site is mainly geared at RVs, my review is related to tent sites. The sites are flat and sheltered from the morning sun, but they are right on the main road which is loud at time. There is no electricity outlets available to inflate your air mattress and the trash box is far away. There are no washing station for utensils and pots, but there is one tap on a post. There is a washroom facility with a tiny shower. There isn't much ventilation in there. There isn't much space to dry yourself without touching the wet ceramic walls and it will cost you 4 quarters to operate the shower. At $43 for a basic tent site, the need to go find quarters to use a shower is a quite frustrating.
