I'm on my 3rd lease, and love these apts! Office staff is always nice and friendly. They're always there when needed, during their office hours. Also quickly resolves any issues I may have. The maintenance has always been quick to respond with no hassle. I've lived in apts to where the maintenance would never come and staff could careless. This is not them. They keep the property nice and clean. My unit is a good size and was pretty clean upon move in. Yes some fixtures and the cabinets are dated and could use a little modernization, but they are still very nice. Trash dumpsters rarely over flow, but they have it picked up pretty quickly. It's very quite here as well. I do recommend these apts to others.
Great place to get your first apartment. Little out dated but for the price considering other places I think this is a fair bet. My kids enjoy the front pool and maintenance team! Perla is fantastic! But beware of the an old lady named Laura as she’s constantly drunk and thinks she’s the queen of everything.
BEWARE !! Staff and maintenance are terrible with requests of any kind, prior to moving out I requested for the carpets on my steps to be cleaned numerous times, only to gain no response and be assessed a $150 carpet cleaning fee when I have all wood floors with exception of the steps. Asked for paint touch ups etc all to never have anyone respond and give long winded responses about how busy maintenance is, quite a slap in the face for someone who paid on time as a dedicated resident and was NEVER late. $ave you$elf the headache !!! Seriously and do not move to this outdated place…pretty sad having to take showers like this and no help.
Moved in last last month. I see there are mixed reviews on the apartments. The only complaints I have are for the annoying bumps through the community and a small sugar ant issue which was resolved with a few ant bates. I am an avid cyclist and choose the location due to the proximity of the Trinity River. Per the apartment, it is a bit dated and cabinets could use some TLC, but outside of that it is wonderful. I particularly enjoy the Florida Room on the larger of the one bedroom apartments, I don't care so much for the outside area which made this apartment perfect they take the space which would have been outside and add it to the overall floor space. I had the movers comment make a comment on how spacious it is. The apartment is certainly not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. It is a good choice for someone looking for a quite place to live and willing to pay a bit more primarily for the location. The office staff have been wonderful, no issues with them at all! I posted a few photos, the website does not really show much for people who cant see the community in person.
I was excited to tour this apt complex, so I made an appointment days in advance. When I arrived, I was told they could not give a tour because there’s only one person in the office. I would have appreciated if they communicated that I would not be able to do a tour as scheduled. I found it quite odd that they would not let me have a copy of the map with apt numbers. Many other apartment complex provide that to future residents. Overall, very disappointing experience with Shandileigh the leasing consultant.
I highly recommend. The staff is great. They are like a dream team. Genuinely sweet and helpful women. They will do all they can to help and if they can’t they let you know with grace. This was my first apartment moving alone in the city of Benbrook and I’m glad I was led here because it was the exact spot I needed to be in. There weren’t any pest issues. Never saw a roach. I did stay right near the wooded area so be aware of the fact that nature is roaming and there’s not much they can do about that part. It is a very large property so when several units experience the same issues at once such as this summers heat wave it might be a delay on your request but as for me, they even call to let you know if they will or won’t be able to show if your were expecting them on a certain day which I really liked. This place is proof that If you treat people nice they will respond accordingly. As far as safety goes it’s not a bad area but you should always use caution especially at night as there are blind spots in certain areas. The police are always parked on highland park Dr so it gives a sense of safety which I liked as well. I could go on but this is a great place to stay. It is a gem
Where do I begin. The situation of my move in was a bit unusual…. Regardless Josie handled it wonderful and was able to get me the unit I wanted. These apartments were my first choice and I was very adamant about living here. Thanks to the staff for having so much patience and professionalism. The actual move in was very smooth, no major fixes yet. Its very quiet and super close to work. I also received a phone call welcoming us into the community. Which is fantastic. I’ve never really felt like I was part of a community until now and its an awesome feeling. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. They are super friendly/patient/professional and welcoming.
Move in was great compared to previous experiences at my old apartments Greenwood Creek. The unit was clean and the two very minor issues I had were fixed the very next day. The office staff have been nice every time I talked to them and even called a few days after I moved in to make sure everything was going good. They keep the grounds and pool nice also. My only complaint would be visitor parking fills up fast around my building so it’s be nice to be able to pay for an additional assigned spot.
Lived here during final year of medical school. It was a great place to live. The location is great and quiet since it's removed from the highway. Rents are very reasonable. The floor plans available are sensible. Maintenance was done promptly. Parking is very adequate. The highlight is the community life team that put on several events every month; they made it feel like a community instead of just an apartment complex. Lastly, the leasing office personnel were friendly and helpful. Would live there again if the situation presented itself.
Surprised to see the negative reviews. I enjoy living at Highland Park. Very quiet and I feel safe here. We are right off the trail and have easy on and off access to it. Twice a month the office helpers provide food to the residents after work. I like that. Great community here. Only problem I have is with a neighbor who bangs the ceiling with a broom handle when I walk through the kitchen. Seems they are a bit over-sensitive to be banging the ceiling while I'm trying to cook dinner in my kitchen. I'm guessing there must be a sub-floor problem that causes noise to carry into the apartment below. Management has always been kind to me and addressed matters quickly. Maintenance team stays on top of any issues that may come up. Very pleased living here.
