My husband and I lived here for over a year in our camper. Sandy the mother in law did an amazing job keeping everything going. If there was an issue we knew we could go to her. The owner Sara on the other hand was worthless. She wants the money but not to do the work. To treat her mother in law as free labour yes you read that right she didn’t pay her for keeping up with the property. The sites themselves are minimal and shoddy. Very poorly designed and put together. If you want to stay in a campground that’s more accessible go further north to the one outside of grand forks. Then at least you will be closer to laundry services.
Campground is very well kept. Everyday they are tending the grounds to keep it clean. Campground showers are honestly cleanest I’ve ever seen for a campground. Everything is very well kept around the campground. Quiet time is enforced. People do watch their speed. Sara is amazing to work with very easy to get ahold of. Laundry mat is kept clean everything would be working if everyone was more considerate of how they treat the machines.
Locatkon is 100ft off I-29. Freeway noise for campers is beyond noticeable.Location: 1/5
A very well kept campground. We stayed here for a month and I witness it being picked up and cleaned daily. Always having the grass nicely trim. The laundromat have washers but the dryer is under maintenance. They are switching some things out. I was ok with that. It's been hot and clothes dry fast being hunged around the camper, eco friendly. We used wifi for homeschool and did not have any problems with it. Overall a great experience and would recommend this place.
Nice campground. Small and clean. WiFi is not great. Staff is awesome. I’m here for the beet harvest. As you can see from the pics only one washer and dryer are working in the laundry room. I’ve been here a week. There are dozens of work campers here for the harvest and the nearest laundromat is 35 miles away. I cannot believe they didn’t make sure the machines were up and going. I’m angry that I’ve got 2 more weeks of work and can’t get my filthy farming clothes clean.
I am from town and my wife and I have a passion for travel in our RV. The owners have been very accommodating for local people to just dump, and also to rent a space for the day to clean, sanitize, and winterize our RV. I happened to walk into the bathroom to use the facilities and they were very nice and clean was winterizing and didn't want to put waste in the tank after cleaning and winterizing. I am thankful there is a nice campground in town that is helpful for locals to utilize in an unusual way! Thank you so much for the pleasant afternoon before the long winter! You were our last stop of the season 2016!
We stayed at this campground on the way to Huchinson MN. I must say the bathroom facilities was without a doubt the cleanest I have ever been in. Everything was spotless. Needless to say we also stayed there on our return journey. A excellent over night stay. A little noisy as its right by the Interstate but unless you are a very light sleeper it never bothered us. 10/10 to the lady who owns it. Excellent job. Diane and Andrew Higgs
I worked, stayed at this camp ground four three i would say seasons But I was there also in the winter: About a Dozen campsites with heated water: The owner's are very accommodating. In the fall long about the middle of Sept. the camp fills up with people who come for the Harvest. People from all over the united states arrive about one-to-two weeks before the Harvest. You have the opportunity, to meet people from all over the country, and all walks of life. The Mississippi head waters, are within driving distance, a trip well worth taking. I would Suggest, Looking on the internet for Lake Agassiz, then when you take a drive in the country side north and west of Hillsboro you will have better understanding of the very flat country side.
Great place to stay!!! My husband worked at Crystal sugar for a couple of months and we rented one of their houses and I hated to leave. We travel everywhere all over the United States and this was the best family oriented places I've been ! The owners are awesome the entire family is great and we miss their children so much!!! If we go back to Hillsboro North Dakota we will be back!!!
Did not have the oppurtunity to use the campground but did attempt to use the laundromat. Only one of the washers was functioning and not very well. None of the other machines were labeled out of order so by the time i learned they werent working i had wasted 5 loads worth of soap and fabric softener. Not to mention the $5 in quarters i lost. When i spoke to the woman in the office she simply stated, "Im not the owner so i have no idea." Needless to say I will not be returning to do laundry and because of the lack of customer service i wont be utulizing the campground either. Sad that a scrap of paper stating out of order could of prevented a bad review.
