This museum was one complete surprise. I've walked the land around it and discovered all about why Ellsworth was a wicked town. The gun slingers, the cowboys, and even the ladies that kept them entertained. But once I stepped foot in the buildings and all the amazing things of the past, I realized this is a treasure that very few are taking advantage of. Take a step back in future and learn how creative those in the past were, plus come and see if you can connect with who ever occupies the home. Come for a real adventure.
Cynthia gave my family a wonderful tour of the museum,,the fee to enter covers fort harker as well.
A wonderful museum with interesting and unique artifacts. My wife and I spent a couple of hours there. We drove from Haysville Kansas specifically to see this museum and it was well worth the trip. The lady in charge of the museum gave us a tour. We really liked her. She was very knowledgeable and interesting.
This small town has pretty good sense!
The Museum had more areas than most places do. There is a lot of history to find here. The employee did an amazing job.

This is great for family gatherings, is new, clean & spacious. We are from that area so was very interesting seeing any changes they have made. Very interesting!!!
It's a little strange of a setup, but it has a great variety of local history that is very interesting, totally worth a visit, or two...
Fort Harker is a great History learning experience! Take your children and talk to Ole Sarge Greg Heller.
This place is full of helpful and friendly people who are passionate about preserving the area's history.
