Absolutely beautiful! The double site we got was big and had 2 tables. You are pretty close to others with not a lot of trees to add some cover. We were also within a 2min walk of the water. It was 80$ for one night in the first on June, worth it for us. Restrooms: Restrooms and shower were stocked and cleaned. They were also easy to get to and well lighted. I felt safe as a 5' 150lbs women. Dog-friendliness: We had 2 dogs with us and many others also had dogs at other sites. There was several locations for your dogs.
Beautiful campground. Well maintained. Laurel Lake is so clean and clear. We had a site with a private path to the lake which was wonderful. Our site was a double site with plenty of room for us to spread out and not feel on top of each other. It is a 5 minute drive to a clean, sand beach. We will definitely be back. Restrooms: Has bathrooms in every loop and our loop had showers in it as well. Tue water was warm and pressure was good.
Lovely campground. Sites are large with lots of space between them. The fire pits and picnic tables are far away enough from the road that it feels private. Toilets and showers are good. There’s a campground-only boat ramp. The trails are well-maintained. The walk-in sites have bear-proof lockers.
Great place to camp. Very quiet and clean!
Nice and clean campground in Daniel Boone National Forrest. Very private sites, not on top of your neighbors at all. From what I could tell every site had all kinds of trees between them, couldn't even see our neighbors. This was one of the best campgrounds we have stayed in.
Fantastic place to camp! We stayed in site E2 with electrical hookups and water. The sites a very spacious with ample space between each site. We brought Kayaks and launched from the boat ramp area in the campground. Showers and restrooms are clean. Firewood was only $6 and staff were friendly.
We always have a great experience! An extremely clean, well maintained campgrounds I've ever been to. Every site has its charm. Most of them have enough space between them to feel private. The bath houses are always clean and well stocked. The views are gorgeous and the nature is refreshing. Hiking/Biking trails and we'll maintained and the lake is beautiful! We go 2 or 3 times a year and have never left disappointed. Even this past trip there was a mix up with our site and another camper probably my fault but the manager ended up opening a whole other loop for us even though they closed it down for the season! Just so we could have a site that was right on the water. I've been to a lot of different campgrounds and I feel the most comfortable here and wish all other campgrounds would be similar to Holly Bay campground!
What a beautiful campground. Our sight H-14 turned out too be a very popular place as we had a family of of Barred Owls nesting in a tree right above our trailer. We watched for two weeks as the babies emerged and took their first hops to surrounding branches testing their wings and tree legs. An awesome experience ! Watched as the parents took turns watching from a close distance and chasing away numerous crows that would come to bother them. Also witnessed them feeding the young. So cool ! Camp hosts where very friendly, always asking if we needed anything. I felt like was living a National Geographic couple of weeks. Thank you Holly Bay campground. We'll be back !
We went this past weekend 04/21-23. We stayed in D2. It was the best trip ever! We brought our two dogs and tent camped. The trails were great and everything was so clean. The Camp host were very kind! Cannot wait for our next trip back.
Camping sites are great! Beautiful park! Beach maybe not connected to the campground needs some attention, especially the restrooms and dumpsters.
