Last time at this theater. We have tried it several times and last night it was no better. Popcorn was cold and flavorless. They way you have to stand at the bar to order your food makes little sense. Why not have a separate bar and concession area. Popcorn would stay hot and you could still sit at the bar without people breathing down your back to order food. Seats are very comfortable but thats all that is good with this place. Lots of potential but Ive been saying that for two years now....
Dirty, took almost an hour for popcorn and sodas to arrive, lots of folks talking in the theater at full volume during the show, including food servers. Recliners are nice but if you recline more than halfway, the glass above the seat rows reflects the lit seat numbers, overlaying it onto the movie you're watching. Staff was friendly but we'll look elsewhere to find a new favorite theater.
The way they deliver refreshments is stupid. Not sure if it’s a hold over from “Covid” or just the way they’ve always done things. But you basically order the popcorn, drinks, whatever then go to your seat and they deliver it. I personally rather just take it in the theatre myself. Popcorn itself was some of the worst movie theatre popcorn I have had. Cold and flavorless. The theatre itself was nice. Of course other movie goers sucked and talked the entire time but that’s not the theatres fault. I won’t be coming back to this theatre.
First the positive. It's a nice, comfortable, mostly clean place to see a movie. The screens are big, the seats are pretty roomy andcomfortable although the back doesn't really recline much, and the seats all have a great viewing angle and the sound is awesome. The staff are very nice and friendly. Here's the big problem. Not only does the food arrive way late, but it's truly horrible despite the high price. It was over seasoned, which attempts to hide the food's bad quality and anything that is made of breaded chicken has more breading than the stringy, rubbery meat it tries to hide. My kid will eat almost any macaroni and cheese, but he spit this out and wouldn't touch it. The fries are soggy and taste stale. The potato tots are actually tolerable, and the popcorn is typical of what you'd expect. Just don't buy . Anything from the menu. The food here makes McDonald's look like a 5 star restaurant.
We ordered the bacon cheeseburgers on brie bread. We asked the young man at the counter what dressings came with the burger and we both told him we did NOT want the fig jam on the burgers. We excluded ranch from the side order of bacon fries as well. We placed our order at 755pm. We received our order as the theater went dark and movie started. My spouse use his flashlight to check his plate and there was ranch on the fries. He left the movie to return the fries and ask for a replacement. No sooner than he left I bit into my burger and it was such an unpleasant taste. I used my flashlight to check out the burger and sure enough it was loaded in fig jam. When he got back and check his fresh plate it also had fig jam on the burger. We didn't wanna miss the movie or wait another 35 minutes for a new burger so I just took the loss. This was not worth the hour drive we took for a date night without kids lol still had to stop and get food on the way back. Super disappointing experience, won't be back Would like to add the young man that took our order did remove the fig jam and ranch as requested. He was super nice. This would fall on the kitchen staff
It started out as an outstanding new theater. But in the few years it has been open it has steadily declined. It's still a clean place, but the seats are worn and the service is almost non-existant. Do not order any food from this establishment. Besides being over priced, you won't get your food until the end of the movie-- and it's low quality. It's sad to see the decline- but this happens to all new movie theaters. Owners never want to invest in upkeep of the building and property and put no thought into who they hire or how they run it.... They only want to run it into the ground making as much profit along the way. Watching movies from home is more enjoyable. If i want a night out, I'll go to a restaurant now and not this theater.
Staff is friendly. Food is not good at all. Had not been there in years and when we returned the food service was still disorganized and inefficient. Whether you go as a couple or a small group, everything comes separately to different people at different times and it is extremely slow. This last time, we arrived and ordered 30 minutes before show time and it took 45 minutes for our food $116 total to arrive. prepackaged entrees, popcorn, and beverages. No candy. While there are several theatres to serve, it was a mid-week matinee and there was approximately 20 people in our theatre. One interesting thing was that I ordered a regular tea and another person in our group ordered an extra large soda on separate tickets at separate cash registers, yet when the drinks arrived....several minutes apart...I received an extra large tea, and the other person received a regular soda. How does that happen? LOL Due to the food quality, we threw away most of it on our way out. If you want a meal, I highly recommend eating it before you arrive at the this theatre and order popcorn, candy, and drinks to enjoy at the movie.
Fine place to watch a movie. Comfortable and mostly clean, but that’s where it ends. Service for drinks and food is ridiculously slow! 1 hour from the time we sat until our sodas and popcorn arrived. Sodas were watered down for having sat so long. Popcorn comes with butter on the side in small cups that they put ontop of the popcorn. If I wanted to lick the counters I would do so, there is no reason for having them touch the food! Did I mention over an hour waiting, movie was half over! Wish we could take our drinks and snacks at the time of ordering. There is no need for delivery service if it doesn’t work!
Forget about dine-in. It's just a theater because you won't receive your order until the movie is nearly over. The level of service has decreased dramatically at this theater since it's opening. My last two visits this month, I purchased both my tickets and food online in advance. A few weeks ago it arrived 40 minutes late and included all of the items that I listed to be removed. This past weekend, 2 hours into the movie my food still had not arrived so I told the manager to cancel and provide a refund. Clark Pittman is the worst and most nonchalant manager. No apology for the delay. There was another patron on my row that did not receive his order. I asked the manager if he thought it was odd that 3 different guest on the same row did not receive their order and he should look into it. There was no response only the excuse that they were running behind. If staffing is an issue then stop taking orders beyond your capacity to provide them. I'm sure the Mexican restaurant next door will continue to boom because their service and food is impeccable!! If location makes this theater more convenient, take my advice and sneak a meal in or eat prior.
AMC, like most corporations, has successfully found a way to erase most of the humanity out of the movie going experience. That translates into an extremely poor experience for the customer. Profit over people. I’ve lived in Holly Springs for 17 years, this was my first visit and it will be my last. The location is an absolute toilet. The floors and walls are permeated with filth, the entire place smells. The condition of the bathroom was unforgivable. The ticket kiosk was coated with visible filth, I could feel the the texture of disease on the screen as I typed out my order. You can’t concentrate on the film due to staff delivering food, the ripping and crinkling of wrappers, utensils, plastic boxes opened and shut, food dropping onto the floor, people having discussions about the terrible food, and of course the slurping of gallon drinks. Also, the 6” plexiglass riser that sits on top of the wall in front of each row of chairs reflects the lights that reside under the chairs. It’s a monumental visual distraction while attempting to watch a film. I’ll never go back.
