Casino will keep you busy for as long as you desire. Eat, drink and roll the dice! Place your chips and cross your fingers, gamble responsibility!!!! The horse races are fun and you might even be able to catch a concert. Hollywood is not only a Casino, its a venue!
I can only speak to the track- I took the kids so they could see the horses run- they loved it- you can walk along the fence in the front and you don’t have to have the kids access anything at all in the casino- plenty of outdoor seating although they wanted to stand along the racetrack so they could feel the wind as the horses raced by. Clean facility, the yard down by the track was what I would consider to be a family friendly environment- did not cost anything to let the kids watch the horses warm up and run
Four of us went to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday. We bet on the horses, played slots and blackjack. We ate at The Eatery, a food court style area. My daughter and her boyfriend had a delicious, fresh pizza slice from one place, I had potstickers from another, and my husband had fish and chips from yet another place. Every single thing was fresh and delicious! We had cocktails at two different bars and there is a free-flowing soda fountain with Coke products, as well as circulating servers around the gaming tables and slot machines. The service from the restaurants in The Eatery, at the bars and from servers was impeccable! The price of the food and drink run a little less than at the ballpark - another surprise. I paid $6 for a 12 oz draft Blue Moon, and two cocktails and two sodas for $25. They really work hard to satisfy your every need before you know it yourself, and they make the money you spend on food and drink worthwhile. This is one place where smoking and vaping are allowed indoors. There are non-smoking sections of tables and slots, and there is no smoking in any of the eating areas. I have to say, the ventilation is fabulous. Despite plenty of people smoking, almost no smoke hung around. They must have a great air filtration setup. The gorgeous high ceilings help with the smoke dissipation too. Every area of the casino is decorated in a different, eclectic style. It's disorienting with the lights and decor and people. The noise level is surprisingly low. We were able to have conversation across the dinner table and walking through the casino without having to shout to be heard. The carpeting has a "path" of solid color running through the design to help you navigate the disorienting space. One thing I didn't get to, believe it or not, was the restrooms, so I can't say anything about them. I can say the entire establishment was spotless and almost odor-free, so I would expect the same quality of service and care in the restrooms. Finally, and disappointingly, I didn't get any photos inside the casino because I was too busy enjoying myself. I have one photo of part of our group watching the horse races. We chose to come here to celebrate for sentimental reasons. Long ago, when she was 7 or 8 years old, once a year we went to the horse races with her Grandpa, who passed away 10 years ago. It's the first time we visited the casino part. The horse racing area has been spruced up and looks cleaner and more welcoming and easier to navigate. Food & drinks: We ate at The Eatery, a food court style area with four or five different cuisines. My daughter and her boyfriend had a delicious, fresh pizza slice from one place, I had potstickers from another, and my husband had fish and chips from yet another place. There was a burger place in The Eatery, but none of us tried it. Every single thing we had was fresh and delicious! The portions were perfect and reasonably priced for a venue like a casino - when you are basically held captive to eat whatever they have and pay whatever they ask. We had cocktails at two different bars, beer from another and there is a free-flowing soda fountain with Coke products, as well as circulating servers around the gaming tables and slot machines. The service from the restaurants in The Eatery, at the bars and from servers was impeccable! The price of the food and drink runs a little less overpriced than at the ballpark - another pleasant surprise. My potstickers were $8 and I got 3 large pork potstickers pan seared. They were available steamed or pan seared. I don't know what anyone else paid precisely because we all went out separate ways to get what we wanted. Everyone did say they were surprised it wasn't more expensive, considering the great quality. I paid $6 for a 12 oz draft Blue Moon, and at another bar got two cocktails and two sodas for $25. They really work hard to satisfy your every need before you know it yourself, and they make the money you spend on food and drink worthwhile and pleasurable. It really was a nice time and a party for all the senses, without being an overwhelming or claustrophobic atmosphere.
I love this place! Everyone here treats you like family, from the moment I walk in I’m greeted with a smile. I’ve gotten to know a lot of the workers. I don’t know who’s happier to see each other, me or them! Thank you!Rooms: 5/5
The smoke-free area of the casino is huge, although the slot machines tend to be older models than on the main floor. I wasn't too bothered by smoke anywhere unless someone lit up nearby. Very large and clean facilities. The race track is attached and horses were running Thursdays through Sunday. A shuttle ran frequently from the hotel.
It's a Clown show. I played a machine for two hours, they closed down the machine. Went to a another machine, I was asked to move again by am employee. Rude employees, tight slots. The food court could put you to sleep. It's soooo slow. I would not recommend??!!
Big lot, very uneven but able to level fairly easily. Quiet night; convenient for our visit to Harper's Ferry the next day. Went in to the casino and enjoyed a beer and the Phillies along with the air conditioning. Thank you.
We come here often to play in the casino. There is a good selection of games available, if someone isn't just sitting there and not playing. My only issue is drink service. The waitresses come by very infrequently, if at all. And if I do order, it takes a long time to finally get my drink. The parking garages are well lit and there is usually plenty of parking available. Safety: I have never felt unsafe while being here. The parking garages are well lit. There are security people at the doors. Food & drinks: The restaurant is very good but expensive. The walk up food places have a pretty good selection of foods to choose from and are open late.
As far as casinos go, it is just that...a casino. The reason for such a low star rating is the unbearable amount of cigarette smoke that emanates throughout the entire building. I would recommend the casino using the abundance of money they get daily, to invest into a brand air filtration system to make the visit more enjoyable for those who do not smoke.
We loved the Epic Buffet before it closed for covid. Now we don't visit here anymore because there is no buffet. Very sad they didn't bring it back. I can see this place closing before too long. That buffet was a real money maker for the casino! Food & drinks: The Epic Buffet was fabulous before they closed it
