Zero stars was not an option. Negative 10 stars. Management is a COMPLETE joke. They charge you whatever they want. Misread meters. No parking. And so far, "Stan" with "corporate" was a complete nightmare. Zero understanding. Wouldn't listen. Wanted to tell me "they did their job". Um, no Stan. They DID NOT. They have ONE job!!!!!!! READ THE METER. It's not that hard. We've been charged over $700 in "overage" charges because your guy CAN'T READ A METER. Hometown Jurupa Hills. And I love my neighbors
Tanglewood in FL has deteriorated in the short time we have been here. Gated community is a joke, People drive through and destroy the gate regularly. The roads are breaking down with loose gravel and potholes everywhere. The pool needs repair which was supposed to be done years before we got here. Management has absolutely no regard for the residents and their concerns. Lot rent is out of control. People are great but the infrastructure of the community is crumbling.
Update: ZERO Stars...Manager, Oakhill, Attleboro, MA, treats residents very disrespectfully, is hostile, instigates conflict, threatens residents and lies. She very inappropriately and fraudulently calls the police to bully and intimidate residents. Her criminal record is also evidence of her mental instability. Unacceptable. Hometown should NOT HIRE anyone w/a CRIMINAL BACKGROUND. -----------Update: RENT INCREASE every year. Just went up $50/month with record high inflation! Disgusting. No regard for residents or our quality of life. WHERE'S OUR MONEY GOING? Not to property upkeep. Crooks. I'm still waiting for a return call from Corporate or Regional Director Kyle Howieson. What is wrong with you people? No decency. FIRE the mgr. Oakhill, MA. Nothing but turmoil and BS for 5 yrs w/her. Enough is enough. -----UPDATE: Just called corporate, and you don't even let people leave messages anymore. Maybe because you were getting slammed w/so many complaints from residents. We desperately need a NEW MANAGER for Oakhill MA. She is incompetent, neglects her duties, does not address resident concerns, poorly communicates and has terrible relationships w/residents. Property looks terrible. Maintenance workers do not stay I wonder why. When we have one, nothing gets done. Electrical wiring above ground for a very long time. DO SOMETHING! She has to go! -------------Corporate GREED! Raise rent every year and residents see no return on our money. Corporate does not respond to resident calls/concerns. Regional manager is not accessible to residents. Poorly oversee property manager to ensure property is well-maintained and quality of life for residents is good. Must do better job hiring property managers and holding them accountable for their duties and the way they treat residents. Stop treating residents like second-class citizens. Hometown America should NOT HIRE people w/a criminal background as they have done for Oakhill MA where the current mgr. should be fired for negligence, resident abuse and incompetency. This property has never looked worse! Hometown America lost 2 lawsuits filed by Oakhill residents. One for failure to maintain septic system finally, the new septic system they put in is hideous w/septic tanks visible/above ground located throughout property on residents' lots --gross. Talk about ruining the aesthetics of the property. The other for unlawfully charging new owners more rent than existing residents.
Nothing but corporate greed. Rent went up 50.00 bucks and nothing new happened to improve our quality of life. It costs more for land rent than my mortgage. What's wrong with this?Something needs to be done with the owner of the company .They should be fired himself and see how it feels to not be able to afford anything because they keep raising the land rent so high. I would be embarrassed to see all these reviews and comments.
In the years living her Crescent Run in Mesa, AZ was a 5 star community. With a new management team coming in prior to Covid the care and maintenance has declined. Rules are no longer in force. Crime has increased and attention to residents questions and concerns are ignored and are not addressed by management on site or corporate. Residents emails and calls are just ignored. When you go in person, know one is available or to busy. Our craft club was told they were responsible to paint the craft rooms lower half because matinance was to busy. Security gates are left open according to the manager to avoid matinance to them if they need repair. The manager is involved in a relationship of some kind with a handyman most of the time and basically collects a paycheck and free residency. It has become a abusive situation to the residents of Crescent Run and all parties of Hometown America have turned a blind eye to addressing the issues at all. Being seniors, alot of us can't afford to move to a better park, so we are trapped here.
Shameful-money Hungary owners... Summer #6 here in Antioch California. Today 6/16/2021 100 degrease outside and no pool. Last year we had a dirty pool and ice cold water. Last year during the COVID lock down we had minimal access to the pool, seems it was cold most of the year then at the end of summer they finally allowed for it to be heated. Last year because of COVID we had zero access to the gym and club house. The one thing hometown America didn't skip a heartbeat on and that was raising our property rent. That's right quite a few of the people here in the park lost their jobs and yet hometown America didn't bat an eye and raised the rates. Other parks in the bay area did not raise the space rents because they truly cared for the people in their parks and understood that some were going through hard times. This also included most of the apartments and houses. I will give them credit they did wait until May this year to decide to resurface the pool. It has nothing to do with the manager that runs our park it has everything to do with Corporate. My challenge to them is bring your mom and dad and grandparents and let them go into the conditions we have had to live for the past 6 year. I bet you wouldn't do that because it is beneath their standards of living. They are in it for the money only and not to improve a thing. Can't wait to get out of here... Their gift to all of us here was a 4% rate hike again...welcome to 2022...
Hometown america has purchased the property at plaza del rey in sunnyvale. They have adjusted the space rent to $2380.00 for any new buyer of a mobile home in this park. That is $28560 a year. TRUE GREED. All equity in homes has dropped at least $100,000.00 on every home. No business sense here. They expect you to pay 1 and 1/2 times your mortgage just for the space your home sits on. Thats a $1000.00 more than im currently paying. Ridiculous right? 40 homes cannot sell here, including the ones they own. Steer clear people. These owners are a "SPECIAL" kind of GREEDY and negligent to their communities. They truly show their hate for the homeowners in the community. Plus they sensor there facebook website of all negative posts. These owners are part of a problem, not a solution. Hope karma slaps justice right across their GREEDY face. To reiterate from Hometown americas reply to my above paragraph post. My opinion is they are a cancer to this community. Do not buy from these leeches. Whether a home sells for 120000 or 250000, these scoundrels think people will pay 2380 a mo. Space rent. Not including the annual rent increase of $100.00, or 4 to 7% No homes are selling here due to this GREED. They claim to provide a higher standard of living. Hometown america has no morales to provide anything. They provided nothing but problems amongst a flourishing community, by their GREED and FOOLISHNESS. We had a higher standard of living before they took ownership. Take heed people, they smile to your face as they stab you in your back and try to steal your wallet. Hometown America is that type of California GREED that truly makes you throw up in your mouth just hearing their name.
I pay for garbage pickup here at Hometown America in Florida. I replace my flooring and I was told this morning the garbage men will not be picking up my old carpeting. That it exceeded the amount they pick up well I'd never put anything big out there so for the past three to four years I've been paying for garbage pickup that won't even pick up my garbage. Calling my home office as most Hometown America's I am reading about is useless. This Corporation needs a total overhaul in management it seems. Between this and the lot rent that keeps going up more than once a year I can't wait to sell my place and get out of here.
Live in a Hometown community in New Jersey. The office here is awful. They degrade you when you have a complaint. Supposed to be a nicely kept community, well I am living next to trailer trash. Complained to office contacted code enforcement and nothing. I shouldn't have to be living next to 3 feet high weeds and leaves and branches all over the place. Mold on house,stray cat under house which neighbor low life feeds. Won't pick up a twig. Lazy!!!!. Should get fined. Drinks and smokes all day and I have to smell this when I'm out on my deck. Disgrace.
This property management is horrible. They moved a new home in next to mine and there is 4 feet between our homes. If I wanted to live so close to someone I would have bought a condo!!!!!! They will not listen to me nor respond to my concerns. But if you want to buy a home they will call you as soon as they get in. This company is all about money. And does not care about the home owners at all. DONT BUY FROM THEM!!!!!!
