Horseshoe Bend Park what a beautiful nature preserve.. the South entry has the trails for hikers and picnic areas the North entrance has area for dog walking and fields for dogs to run and other dog owners can sit and chat together . There’s some tables and benches around too. Park goers are to clean up after themselves and leave nothing . The park is super clean and they want to keep it that way .. it’s in a beautiful setting in the Hills of Hunterdon County farm and horse country .. nestle near charming stone estates .
A wonderful place to bring your dog. The dog park is several acres in size, enclosed by fencing. There are also several trails for adventurous hiking dogs.
HUGE dog park. Lots of friendly people and dogs. The grass is sometimes high, but my girls love it here.
Awesome place for a sunset, see my pics. The only reason I give it a 4 star instead of 5 is a. Park closes at sunset so it's hard to actually enjoy it from the orange trail ridge and then exit. And b. Parts of the trail are overgrown and more suitable for horses instead of hiking. But overall I highly recommend especially if you like hiking next to open fields
Great park for hiking that's not too crowded. Watch out for ticks if you end up in the fields for your hike! Easier hiking in the winter when there's no bugs and ticks.
Large beautiful park with many trails and lots of room There's a dog park, picnic area and large grounds that's mowed periodically. Perfect park to bring the family!
Was a nice relaxing drive to get there and very clean. Just wish it had more benches without having to go inside of the dog park.
We love coming here! It's a 7 acre fenced in dog park. Trash cans are provided for your dogs #2s and there is fresh water access to fill the dog bowls up with water.
I am a member of a group of Pembroke Welsh Corgi breeders and we have held our regional specialty show there since 2019. It has worked out very well for us. There is adequate space for people traveling in RV's. A large fenced yard for your dog to run if you choose. And it has working restrooms in the main building. A little dicey getting there with narrow, winding roads, but it's very pleasant once you've arrived.
This is a wonderful set of trails for hiking, running, or horseback riding. The only drawbacks are that the drainage is not very good, so if it has rained in the past 1-2 weeks, expect a very muddy trail and wear shoes that you don't mind washing afterwards. Also, the trail is not very easy to follow in some places. I've been experimenting, trying to learn where each trail goes, and 10+ visits later, I still manage to get lost on the orange trail. Beautiful views from the open fields. A couple of really good climbs. Definitely a fairly hidden gem!
