Hotel Playa De Cortes

Beautiful old hotel and huge. Our room had a gorgeous view but there's no direct beach access so it's a bit misleading. We got to the beach by walking a while. Also, the room could do with more light and garbage cans. One of the lamps in our room was held together by sheer luck and is a total fire hazard, but it's very dark without it. But, pretty hotel and nice room.

I personally love old Mexican hotels. They have so much character. At Hotel Playa de Cortez the rooms are clean and the service is friendly. It's right on the beach so you can hear the waves from your room.Rooms: 5/5

Very rustic but nice if you like history. The room was fair. Could use a little work on doors as they didn't close properly making for a loud sound of closing doors at night. The grounds were a little messy and although there were groundworkers I didn't see much inthusiasm in them cleaning grounds.Rooms: 2/5

Excellent,,beautiful place had a great time except for the beds they were too hard and you wake up very sore and tired, otherwise everything else was excellent!!!!Rooms: 4/5

We stayed 1night at playa de Cortez. When arriving there taking my luggage inside the room. I go inside the bathroom it had a very strong Oder of urine inside the shower. The bed sheet’s we’re dirty full of Little Rock’s and sand and HAIR’s! Disgusting! A big cockroach crawled up my leg at night! Worst Place to spend the night. The only good thing is the View.

Aquatic Park was closed when we went in early March, and bar and restaurant was closed too... they do offer service for food of the hotel property. Excellent view and plenty of space for parking bigger trucks or RV if your driving down.Rooms: 5/5

Quiet rv park with several dozen rv spots, water, sewer, 30amp. our weekly stay 7 nites, pay for 6. 438peso/nite full use of hotel facilities. pool when open, sit on the beach, taxi to shopping nearby, walmart, sams club, marina's. better than some we stayed in at Yuma. under rated for location and value. coming back again. onsite security

Its also a Diamond Resort timeshare. Everyone was great and very helpful. Its a great place to relax and take a dip in the ocean. The resort its right off the water. They have a deck you can lounge and stairs leading to the water. If you don't like the ocean they have a great pool and hot tub. The resort has a great restaurant with a kid friendly menu. Its great for couples and families.

The hotel is in desperate need of maintenance... This is a historical building, offers great views and it has unique details within its architecture, it resembles a once preferred destination for the elite in Mexico; that being said, the lack of maintenance of the facilities saddens your experience. The staff is courteous and they do make a great effort to offer a pleasant stay. Given the absence of better hotels in the area, this is your best choice if you need to stay within this area.
