Dr Lewis and Staff, was amazing for me and my Family during our lowest and most vulnerable time in our lives. They were kind and compassionate, patient and trustworthy. I am unable to put into words just how relieved we were with their service and how they managed the process. I did not get the Directors name but he and Ms Maxine and Ms Linda were amazing individually and collectively. I would highly recommend H. O. W. in your time of need. God bless the staff and all of the families of such.
There was a very bad experience at my neighbors/ brother home going service. The family’s and friends said that there was an bad experience with the funeral home staff, that suppose to have been helping with the program. The service itself was wonderful, but the attitude and the way the family was treated and everybody that attended was not treated properly. There was no customer service from the staff, some of the staff was arguing back and forth with some of the people that came to pay their respects. After the service was over, everybody was being rushed out of the funeral home because of the staff double booked another service which was not my neighbors fault. The family did not have enough time to console with their friends and friends because of the unprofessionalism that the funeral home staff performed. I will not refer anybody to this funeral home.
They helped my sister and family to lay my baby nephew to rest, they were​ very understanding to our needs not to mention very affordable, and the work they did on him was excellent, him looked like a sleeping angel. I just want to thank House Of Winston for their great work!!! Thank you guys so much and may God bless you the whole House Of Winston family team!!!
House of Winston was excellent live streaming my relative services. Very professional and moving. They gave adequate time for viewing. Thank you House of Winston.
House of Winston has to be the most unprofessional funeral home in the city of Los Angeles. My aunt passed away in March of this year; it's December and I'm still waiting for her death certificate!!! During the intake, I told the staff member to list me on the certificate as the informant. He asked my relation to the deceased and I said her niece. When he read back the info, he said 'and you're her daughter.' I said, 'no, I'm her niece.' I told him that THREE times. When I picked up the death certificate, I was listed as her DAUGHTER!!! I asked that this be corrected because I knew it could cause problems when time to settle my aunt's affairs. And, it did. So far, I've had a claim declined because of this error. I have called, consistently, for the last 6 months trying to get this resolved; to no avail. I was going to use Winston for my pre-burial arrangements...NOT ANYMORE!!! This is the biggest Mickey Mouse, joke of an operation there ever was!!!
I attended a funeral there today an its viewing time myself an my MOM was about to see the deceased the director cut in front of Us an was telling us to move. some BUT NOT ALL.that we couldn't hung or console the IMMEDIATE family Members..My Mom had to literally tell him to get out of HER FACE ..HE THE DIRECTOR THE ONE WITH A BALD HEAD I DIDNT GET HIS NAME was telling Us Not to GIVE HUGS AN KISSES OF CONDOLENCEs saying that we would see them at the BURIAL..There was Not A BURIAL SERVICE if your going to work at a funeral home i would suggest they be more understanding an patient. Very RUDE
reported this funeral home to the department of consumer affairs cemetery and funeral bureau. they stated on their FAQ on their website that it is a 24 hour line. called them for an hour, no answer. this has caused family to have anxiety, unnecessary work for staff, and broke a facility policy just to make sure the family get what they want. i hope the dca will do something about this
I love them the price was amazing they called my daughter baby Erika they all knew her by name she looked amazing my service my viewing was so nice they did everything just like I asked they made things a lot easier thank you guys from the bottom of heart I'm so thankful I love them they have the heart to deal with this type of hurt best service hands down I love y’all I will never forget how y’all took care of my baby girl and sent her home in style
I delivered the flower for funeral services. The funeral room was so clean and the staff was very kind.
I order extra death certificates, paid for them ; never received them. I called, the person was very rude and unprofessional. At this point I want my money back .I been wait since 12/2020.
