Nice little park on Lake Austin for heading out on a kayak. A little steep going down/up and recommend group of 2 to carry top seated kayaks heavier than sit in kayaks. Shady parking area and 1 picnic table. Local park. Good fishing!
Small secluded and free river access. Perfect place to launch kayak or paddle board. Waterfront parking only fits about 10 vehicles and would be difficult to turn around with larger vehicle if full. Larger parking lot up near play ground.
Great place to access the lake… free but limited parking from sun rise-down
Nice place to have a picnic lunch or just step into the river.
This is my happy place and we just wanted to see it with the flood waters...very muddy right now with fast current, Mansfield Dam with just 2 flood gates remaining open.
Nice park ,very peaceful place .
Another spot to get in the lake with a small amount of parking.
Cool little out of the way park. Has a playground, basketball court , and picnic tables. Also has kayak/canoe access to Lake Austin. Best of all there is NO parking fee. The water access is not visible from the main park area. Drive past the park down the hill to get to the water. There are a few parking spaces and a couple of picnic tables next to the water.
This is a nice little area right before where you can go and see the river. When I went there were no kids playing which made it kind of haunting. It's in a neighborhood so be mindful of the people in the area. The way to get to the river involves a super steep hill which is nerve wracking to go up and down. It's a nice quiet area and the park setting is beautiful.
