Staff were rude and careless. I had a problem with a computer and asked the front desk, she came over to help me and I quote she said "I know enough to send e-mails and do my job. I'm not good with computers." And then I said "well, that is unfortunate." And she just walked away. Without offering me another computer, or even attempting to find a solution or offer an apology.
In the summer of 1964 I proudly read fifty books and completed the sticker chart of all fifty states. My poster was displayed for all to see! Best summer ever for an introverted ten year old girl.
Small but excellent. Today they had, in addition to normal library offerings, free used book for members and cheap used books for the rest of us
I love this library. Do not live in HW but am allowed to check out books, always a great selection. Especially appreciate the book sales, held allmost every month. Books are sold really cheap, which allows one an opportuniy to really lay in a good supply, since I am an avid reader; its a great way to pick up hard covers and pocket books. A lovely place to just sit and read, and love the personnel.
I would give this library 2 stars but it's the only one in the area that does not charge for parking. That being said, parking is limited as it is shared with an elementary school, rec center and pool. Also, this is the LOUDEST library I have been to. Seriously, libraries were made so people could enjoy peace and quiet to focus. Even in the quiet room I can hear children screaming and babies crying. It is very distracting to those of us studying. The book selection is decent and the staff is fairly friendly. However this library is never quiet enough to enjoy. Also it is closed on fridays for some reason which is inconvenient.
This is the quietest library around neighborhood. I have been to libraries in Berkeley, Royal Oak and Ferndale. The best part about this library is that it helps me to focus more to learn by providing quite room. Also the parking is free and this is the only nearby library that's open on Sundays!!
They have good facilities, and very friendly staff. They're on a very reduced activity level due to covid. They employ strict covid safety practices
Excellent lecture!
A great variety of resources for its size, and consistently pleasant and helpful staff.
Drag Queen story time is AMAZING!!! Don't let the haters keep you down!
