There's a library parking lot, but I missed the driveway into it across the street from Kwik Fill. We ended up in the 2 hour public parking. The librarians were very nice and professional. The kids' area was great.
A cute local library with beautiful Victorian architecture. Clean, bright, and comfortable seats. Staff are friendly and helpful.
I love the library! Been going for years. They can get anything and even order it from another library. Only issue I have is half the time some librarians don't scan the books back in once you give it to them and try and charge me but every time I call or go there, there it is on their shelf. Frustrating
I love this library. My son and I go every week and there is a wonderful selection. But when we went this past Monday, we did not have a good experience. We went to the kids room and I was only there for 15 minutes when one of the staff came into the room and informed us that the chairs were all put away for a reason, that we weren't supposed to be hanging out but rather grabbing our books and leaving. I had 6 books picked out and in my bag, and i was just grabbing a couple more books and wrapping up. I can't just grab books and go, I need to look through them and make sure that its a book my son would enjoy. I didn't feel that 15 minutes was a long time for someone who is looking through books. I also was the only one there at the time, so I didn't understand why I was being rushed. We weren't doing anything wrong, and I was reading the books to my son to make sure its a book he would enjoy since he can't read himself. I enjoy this library, but I don't feel like all the staff there are kid-friendly. I feel that they don't always make me and my son feel welcome. That's not every staff there, but just a couple. The one staff, Ariel is always very welcoming and kind.
Friendly and helpful folks! Great atmosphere. Many activities throughout the year for kids and adults. Clean, quiet. Love this library!
It was great for my first time. I just came back again and didn't like the way I was spoke to about my mask. The guy asked me to pull it over my nose I told him I can't breath with it like that. He told me if I wanted to be in there I needed to pull it up. Not to mention that they can't be bothered to help you on the computer. Other libraries do!!! Sure do miss Ariel
As someone with anxiety librarys have always been like a safe place for me. But one day as I was stuck in oneonta I live about 30 minutes away aftery sons doctor's appointment I decided to go in and return some movies I borrowed but one of the ladies at the desk decided to make comments about my son coughing while covering his mouth the whole time because he just got a nebulizer treatment and coming in from the cold. I didn't let him touch things or go into the kids room just in case. I just wanted to get them out of the cold for a little bit while we had no where else to go I was very hurt and just wanted to cry. I don't know if I will be able to go back now due to my anxiety and the constant worry of them saying something
Wonderful staff, easy to use website, ability to get books quickly through 4-county system if they don't have them on hand. Great place.
The library is very nice and they have all the books my son needs hope they can get some new books
Always love this library. Still have my library card from 6th grade. Staff is very knowledgeable as well as helpful.
