Stopped in to Hurricane's for dinner with my roommate a few weeks back as I had heard they had good wings. I should have gone to Buffalo Wild Wings instead. 1. When entering the restaurant, instead of being greeted, the host just stared at us until I said "Hi, 2 please.", a bad reception is usually a hint as to the quality of the rest of the service. 2. Noticed most of the wait staff was standing around talking to one another. Granted the restaurant was not super busy, but if you have customers you should atleast be attentive to them. 3. Our waitress was much more interested in watching tv at the bar, talking to the bar tender and texting than with serving us. At one point my roommate waited 20 minutes for her to come back to check on him for a glass of water. We finally had to ask another waiter to get her. 4. When we asked the waitress about how "spicy" the different levels were category 1, 2, 3, etc she said "The categories don't really matter, they just randomly place the sauces where they want." Nice lack of product knowledge. 5. Wings came out and I was let down, not only were they cold, but the "Category 5" wings I had ordered were so bland I had to request hot sauce to put on them. 6. One of the manager approached our table and asked "How is everything?". I told him "Things are okay, not great, but okay". Instead of asking a follow up question he said "Great!" and walked away. 7. Being a firm believer that if you do not tell someone something is wrong it will never be fixed, I emailed their website with my review. I was contacted by a manager from the restaurant who apologized and offered me some vouchers if I would return. I didn't expect free stuff, but I was not going to turn it down. I accepted and he said he would mail them to me. I thought this was a saving move until here we are 4 weeks later and I still haven't received said vouchers. Pass on this place. As they say "The fish stinks from the head down". With a management team that can't follow up, a wait staff that isn't interested in customers, and a host who proved more as a lobby decoration than a greater, I think you could find much better food and service elsewhere.
best choice of sauces. you can get pretty much anything
Not horrible but there are better options.
